    Maybe you can add VB statistics to the bottom of the main forum page.
    It helps give a summary of who has the highest reputation, Post count, Refferals and much more.

    I think it would be a good idea.

    Yeah I'm not sure if peeps would like the whole "who has the most refferals/highest rep" thing too much..^^" Though I don't see a problem with highest post count, other than peeps getting a bit too competitive and to the point where some are just spamming to get posts.. yeah, that wouldn't be too good. o_O;;

    Well, I don't know anything about individual member's stats compiled into just one page, but you can always check this page to see PC's post stats, total activity, as well as its ranking compared to other boards.

    We already have the blogging feature to encourage postfarming, I don't think ranks on a page would change much.

    Anyways, I'm sort of in two minds about the idea, because most of the members know who has the highest post counts, amount of referrals or anything else and the other thing is that it could take away from the beauty of the forum. I've been on forums that have statistics on the main page and I think they look incredibly ugly.

    Besides, it's not exactly necessary.

    My main fear would be that the database would have to handle all these new requests on the main page and we'd end up right back at the fatal erroring every few minutes because of it. :[ Otherwise I wouldn't really care, even if it would get pretty boring since Steve's ahead of everyone in referrals by a few hundred, I'd guess, and the top posters aren't gonna change any time soon... (Not to mention most replied to thread? DCC from '04. Most viewed? Shiny Gold. ;p Two more that won't change much.)

    I don't know if there is a possibility, but one answer to this may be a plug-in that provides a link at the bottom of the index to a page, much like a CP, that shows the statistics. that way we would bypass the extra loading on the index, yet still provide the statistics.
    I do however see the pointlessness in even having it activated. there would be very little changing any time soon.
