Crobat (Say what you will about Zubat and Golbat, but Crobat is boss)
Espeon (Great Speed and Special Attack)

Hard question. Because I like both Houndoom and Tyranitar, but they suck together, even more now that both got Mega Evolutions. Three of their weaknesses are the same.

Absol, because I can't be doing without the all-time favourite
Gardevoir, because elegance is a must and being the best psychic type
Milotic, for the same reason as above - except for the water type
Flygon, for every team needs a dragon - so why not make it a cutie?
Froslass, because ice
Aggron, because the team has elegance and cuteness covered but apparently missed badassery

Of course, that's for competitive reasons. My actual team - based purely upon aesthetic would be something more like:

I just recently picked what 6 Pokémon I would use if they were real. :D

Shiny Dunsparce, Glaceon, Persian, Wartortle, Meowstic (Male), and Sneasel​

Glaceon isn't one of my top favorites design-wise, but I fell in love with my Shiny Glaceon over the years. My favorite Eeveelution is Vaporeon (or at least it was before I saw its hideous XY model), but I decided to evolve my Shiny Eevee into Glaceon because Ice is my favorite type and I wanted to add it to my monotype team. I didn't list it as Shiny because it doesn't seem very realistic to have more than one since they're so rare. Besides, if we go by its anime colors, normal Glaceon pretty much looks the same as a Shiny one.

I like Meowth more than Persian, but I think a real-life Meowth would look creepy with those huge eyes and no nose, especially if they walked upright. Persian pretty much looks like a normal cat.

Froslass and Lapras are some of my other favorites, but I didn't include them because Froslass is a bit too humanoid (might feel weird IRL) and Lapras wouldn't really be able to move around here (since there aren't any decent-sized bodies of water close-by). I have both of these on my in-game team in place of Meowstic and Sneasel.
