A Tough Choice

I think it's really stupid that this isn't a 'hot' thread yet but some others are. :/

I'd let the pet and the stranger go. To me... I don't think I would want to live after that if I didn't, knowing I'd willingly let my pet die, or someone who I don't know, but is still sentient and equal to me. I think it'd be a better way to die, through noble sacrifice, than something else... I'd ask the stranger to look after my pet, and I'd pray for them, and die.

I have a cat, a kitten, a rabbit, a dog, three guinea pigs... any of them, I would do that for. But if they were close to death -- guinea pigs and rabbits especially don't take well to cold --, I'd just put them on my lap and bury them. :P They're both very small. But.. if it was impossible, I'd save myself then, but only if I thought the animal had less chance of getting to land than I did, or if I thought the animal might be tortured at the hands of the stranger.
 
Whoa! This is a hard one!

I know I'd want to do the right thing and save the other person, but I really love my dog! I guess that I'd go with the one where I'd sacrifice myself. I know that I'm going to die any way sometime in my life, so why not go out knowing that I saved a person's life, and that I saved my most beloved friend's life (my dog), hopeing that someone, would take good care of him!
 
I'd save the person, after all, animals can survive better in wild environments than us so maybe my pet would have a chance to make a living there
 
That isn't very tough for me, since I'm a very loyal person, even to strangers. I'd basically die for anyone who was innocent and had something to live for, unlike me, whose life has already been ruined by countless disasters.
 
I don't know. I'm probably not the sort to sacrifice myself, because i'm a survivor. But i would be filled with guilt if i let my pet die, as for the stranger it would depend on a few things, but I'm generally mistrustful of most strangers that I meet face to face. Not matter what i decided, I would regret it, unfortunately since I tend to feel guilt and embasserment a lot. However if there wasn't a stranger but another friend with me, i wouldn't leave that friend behind unless they said to and gave me a very good reason. Even if I leave myself behind (which is unlikely but possible)
 
I would defenitly take my pet, I love that pet alot and I wouldn't want to see it die at all

Uhhh... no.We all have a right to live,and so does my cat(s).Over a total stranger,I'd pick my cat,though he'd probably give me some trouble on the way home,I love him.So I totally agree with Tempest.

Think of it this way:
You love your dog/cat/bird/rodent/lizard/horse/monkey/alligator/frog/salamander way more.
Do you really love a stranger?

Shadow has a point (Although he double posted xD). If I HAD to be on of the two on the boat, I would bring my pet, screw the stranger. I could care less what happens to him.

Although, if I am not forced having to be on of the two on there, I'd let the stranger go on freely, and I'd stay with my pet on the island, so we could die together. ^.^

SO for me, its a tie bwtween those two choices. I mean, being me, I don't really care if I die (Not trying to eb EMO or something like that, so don't take it that way >x<).
 
i'd let the stranger take the raft and i'd stick it out with my cat.i'd stay with my kitty on the island because i don't know how to leave her stranded on an island and just turn around and leave. i couldn't live with myself if i did that.besides maybe she'll be useful and catch me some food.better than being on a raft with a complete stranger.><
