Pidgeot gets my vote since it was with Ash during the duration of Kanto Saga. Even though it didn't have a lot in the personality department at least it was a good fighter for the most part(even though it was mostly utilized as a pokemon to destroy Team Rockets balloon). Whereas Primeape was only in 5 episodes and was only used in the P1 Grand Prix. I really wished he would have used it against Erika though. The only reason I didn't choice Primeape is the lack of episodes and focus it got.

Even though Primeape had good character development starting from the episode it was caught, I'd say Pidgeot for this one because Primeape didn't get much screentime. I also liked how Pidgeot helped defend the Pidgey from the Fearow and Spearow.

I voted for Pidgeot since he did help out Ash an who lot when he was a Pidgeotto,Ash kinda forgot of Pidgeot and never return for him which made me kinda mad.

This all just amounts to the fact that he barely had any screen time and wasn't anything special. If he returned, that would be quite interesting to see how Ash could have used him, but that possibility seems really slim.

Pidgeot was one of Ash's first catches. You've got to have love for that. It had a nice bit of development and it had a good reason to leave. So, more screen time will give Pidgeot the landslide vote.

Well, I have to say - I did enjoy Primeape in the time we saw him, it had quite the funny personality and I loved it when it got angry. It was pretty funny seeing it take Ash's hat, seeing as it was actually the first Pokémon to do that. I was a little upset that Ash let it go away for training though, seeing as I thought they had developed quite a bond in that fighting tournament.

But overall, although I liked Primeape in the time we saw him - I think Pidgeot did more, and although like mentioned above me, didn't have much personality. It was a very loyal Pokémon and had a strong relationship with Ash. I also have to admit that time it saved the day in the episode "The Battle of the Badge Badge" when it defeated Jessie and James, even with those borrowed Pokémon, which certain was a highlight of it's time in the Anime. So yeah, my vote still goes to Pidgeot.

Despite Having Little personality Pidgeot actually felt like like he belonged on Ash's team, while Primeape kinda was just there for like 3 episodes. So my vote goes to Pidgeot.

Primeame didn't ever draw my attention, after I've nothing against it.
