I think I have been patient about this long enough. I believe, that there are too many members under the age of 13. They don't follow the rules, they double post, they spam, and simply they are annoying. I'm not sure if there is an age limit on these forums, but it might be a good idea.

If this can't be done, then maybe the mods should just keep an eye out to keep things in-line. I understand that the mods can't do everything, but it would be nice to enforce the rules a little bit more.

Anyone else who agrees with me, please post your reasons here for an age limit.

    Grazie,

    AbareMax

BTW, in no way am I disrespecting the mods, I just felt a little more could be done to make the forums a happier place :D

I don't think that's a good idea at all. =/ Alot of members here are under 13, love Pokemon, and follow rule just as good as any other member. And although some spammer and n00bs may be young, alot of them aren't. Setting an age limit would just decrease the amount of members here, without solving much at all.

A lot of the Pokemon fans are younger kids, so what would be the point? Oo
There isnt a need for an age limit, since age doesnt really reflect anything. You could be 15 and be a spammy, member, or 9 and a good member, it doesnt really depend on age, oo

Well dont think it is possible to set an age limit, there are questions that ask if you are 13 or over, but then they could lie just to gain access.

Truth be told, there are way to many N00bs here to keep track of and then again, some of the ones under the age of 13 can be very mature posters, be they 8 or 13.

But I dont think there are too many N00bs here, there may be a few, but there arent as many as you may find on otehr forums.

Yeah...Well, for starters...Like RD said, you can always lie about your age. And like David said...Age has jack to do with maturity.

hey this is very ofencive.just because we are younger than 13 doesn't mean we are spammers.i have never spammed on this site once.please don't be rude like this.-walks away angrily-

    Example A....Forgotten_Hope...

Anyway, I understand that age can't be kept track of. Then maybe the mods should keep an eye out for rule breakers. I feel that it is getting a little out of hand...But, I don't expect everyone to agree with me. That's fine. Still I stand by what I say

And I stand by what I say, we do keep track of rule breakers and age plays little to no part in anything. Maturity is a state of mind, not state of body.

I am infuriated at the very proposition. This is a Pokemon site, and as such, there should be no age limit. It's all right no matter how young somebody is, we can't deny entrance to our forums jsut because someone is "too young" I remember being banned from a forum because I was 12, but sure as heck I was just as mature as they were, if not more so. If we were to prevent certain ages, we could be preventing a great addition to our community, and I'm not willing to take that risk, and I'm sure the admins wouldn't be either.

    Besides, PSB was/is 12, and was/is a mod >_>

Forgotten Hopes post was not spam or anything like that. He was only stating his oppinion on the matter and some dont use capitals, it's just the way they type their reply, the post itself was not Spam. And you could hurt smeones feelings by saying something like that.

Mods do their best to keep this place spam free, and it is on the verge impossible to keep track of all the spammers, expecially with Diffrent Time Zones and such.

But as I said, there is nothing available on the board (That I know of anyway) that can stop under aged members from accecing the forums.

Also, as someone Dai said before me, alot of the memebrs who come here are young because it is a Pokemon forum.

    1. Would you happen to know what SPAM stands for? Stupid, pointless, annoying messages. I've yet to see any of this so-called "SPAM" from our younger audience.
    2. If you were under 13, would you be making this suggestion? I doubt it.
    3. As others have said, age != maturity.
    4. A fair portion of our moderators are (or were, until recently) under the age of 13.
    5. This is a Pok?mon forum, like Rachel said. The majority of Pok?mon fans are preteens.

Personally, I find you to be a hypocrite. You jump to the conclusion that kids aged 12 and under aren't mature, yet you're arguing a point with absolutely no evidence to support it. I'd hardly call that mature.

Take me for example, I am 14 years of age, so many days old, so many hours spent learning and maturing, and alas, I still have the mind of a newborn. I misbehave frequently on an everyday basis and pay no heed to the very words my own mother tells me. Every day I am barked at to behave better and be smarter because I am 14 (Mind you, age is but a number), and am always compared to someone 5 years younger than me who acts twice as old as they are. Thus, age means nothing to do with maturity

Newbie who is under 13: Oh, yes! I absolutely cannot wait to join this Pok?mon board! How fun it will be to talk to other Pok?mon-loving intellects such as myself! Ok, let's see...name...age...10....Alright, then. Everything seems in order!

Sorry, but you must be at least 13 years old to join PC.

Newbie: ...Darn! I guess there's no way to get around this.

Okay, time to bring your attention (again) to a nice little function. On the little cute user name thing, at the bottom, there's a nice little button next to the Reputation option, t's called the REPORT. if you think there's a violation of the rules, you click it, type in why you think it violates the rules, and it sends a PM to all moderators of the forum and above. Then, a mod will come check it out, and take action depending on if it's a actual violation. Wow, try using it people.

AbareMax, that post was just plain offensive. I am 10 years old, and have never spammed, double posted, or broken any rules after all this time I've been on this forum. Well, maybe a sig rule or two, but I edited that anyway.

Maturity is not judged by age, but rather by mind, ao. XD
