AHHHH WHY YOU GLITCH?!

    What crazy glitches have you come across?

    As someone who is in their final year of a Games Technology course, I know more than most, how hard it is to nail every glitch during production.
    There are so many different outcomes of what a player will do, a players different logic and a different approach in how they will tackle the game.

    What I ask you is:

    • What is the funniest glitch you have come across?
    • What is the most annoying?
    • What is the most glitchiest game you have ever played?

    The funniest glitch I can think of, right now, is in Animal Crossing Wild World. There is a cheat that lets you jump really high. Using that cheat I have jumped over my city's wall. I landed in a completely white area, then had to restart the system because there was no way out.

    The most annoying clitch I've found is also in ACWW. Its the run fast cheat, if you try to go in your house while using the cheat the game glitches.

    Those are the only ones I can think of, since I'm not good at finding glitches. I wish their was a glitch that takes Resetti out of the game.
     
    I break technology on a fairly regular basis in ways no one quite understands.

    * Accidentally yanked the controller cord while Playing Donkey Kong Country on the old '64... I wound up able to fly at will but unable to progress past level 3. Permanently. All save files. Forever.

    * I forgot how, but I also permanently glitched Ocarina of Time--though maybe it was only my save file--to stay as young Link in adult Link's world.

    * One arcade machine spontaneously froze when I leaned over to check what game it was, another started spewing tickets at me after I put my money in. Several refused to give me my winnings.

    I think there's more, but that's off the top of my head. I never seem to run into normal glitches, only weird things like this.

    Sorry. That made me laugh so much. I am rather good at breaking games, by doing things that other people wouldn't even think of. =]​

    I always hate it when arcade machines start spewing tickets. I feel bad, and am never able to take them...

    Also, games keep glitching on me. They fail to realize how awesome I am, and keep accidentally giving me a GAME OVER screen, when it should say INSTANT WIN.
     
    Uhh, most recently I had one on Fifa 11. Always happen on Fifa games.

    Well, I scored and then it wouldn't let me celebrate, like, when I pressed buttons, nothing happened. I couldn't even control where he went.
    He stopped on the corner flag (literally on it.) and then just started like jutting around. Then the other players joined in. It was quite hilarious. But I couldn't skip it..And it lasted for a good 3 minutes.
     
    You know, I've never really encountered a glitch on my own. All the glitches I know, I've heard about.

    MissingNo. is probably my favourite though.
     
    I can't really think of any funny glitches. There have been helpful ones, like Witches in L4D getting stuck on infinite loops or deciding to try running through an unbreakable wall to get at me, but rarely anything overly hilarious.

    Most annoying glitch, though? Hands down, in the first Assassin's Creed, a templar glitched. Just one of them. It was the one in the graveyard in Jerusalem. I got every other Templar in the game and that one just never, ever appeared. And I know it was that one because I literally quadruple checked all the Templar locations and, if you know about them, you know it takes like an hour or so each time you make the rounds to find them. :| After doing that, I basically had to start the whole game over, beat it, and then go back to find the Templars again, hoping they wouldn't glitch. Luckily none of them did and I got my achievement but ugggh I still rage when I think about the ordeal. xD

    I don't usually notice glitches so I guess I'll say Assassin's Creed since it's the one game can think of multiple glitches for that I didn't do on purpose. :p

    I noticed a lot of glitches in AC + ACII.
    I guess because it is a sandbox, essentially, they can't be all solved.

    The most annoying one for me in ACII was right at the start, where you have to carry some painting to a destination, I tried every single combination to pick up the blasted thing and it just wouldn't work. I spent, and I am not joking, 20 minutes trying to pick it up, but I just ended up pushing it by walking, then it got stuck in a wall and I felt like killing someone. Haha!​

    I don't know any funny glitches but I know some annoying ones. I don't if it's because I'm on a HD TV or what but when I play FFVIII there invisible walls on the world map and giant black boxes making me unable to pass through the normal way and I have travel across the other side of the world to get to my destination. The giant bridge in the middle of the world and the fact that your school is the slowest ship in Final Fantasy history doesn't help.
     
    Funny Glitch:
    Aion - I was able to walk in the air. People asked me how I did it. xD

    Annoying Glitch:
    Oblivion - I got stuck during a mission when I had to run away from the Mythic Dawn cavern between the rocks and got killed...it happened a couple of times.

    Glitchiest Game:
    I geuss that would be Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods
     
    Oh, one time my Golden Sun: TLA glitched.

    When I tried to move characters in my party, it ended up overwriting the sprites, and copying characters.

    The Four Jenna Brigade was funny for all of five seconds.
     
    Most funny:In Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Zelda bridge you use jugglipuff and do the final smash when the bridge is being fixed in the middle of the bridge and your stuck as Giant Jigglipuff and can attack!

    Most annoying:Getting stuck between a rock and some other place in some video games.Many.

    Most Glitchy Game:FF III
     
    Ugh, my least favorite glitch is when the Judge in the Ace Attorney games fails to understand my logic.

    He got shot man, so it's clearly the gun that states the reason why there's a bullet in HIS FRICKIN' SHOULDER.
     
    hahaha i laughed when i saw that this thread was made by somebody who has a sh2 sig. that is a game that had the most craziest glitch that i had come across.
    Not sure how this happened but when i was going through the 3rd floor of the apartment i heard the static sound of when the monsters were coming. so i looked around trying to find the monster but i couldn't see it anywhere. i got a bit freaked out so i just stood there hoping the sound would disappear. but the sound instead keep on growing louder and louder until it reached its peak where it just kept on looping the same static noise. the sound kept on going no matter where i went so i just closed the game.
    but yeh i was shitting my pants for like the whole time until i walked into another room and realised it was a glitch.
    i'm still not sure how that exactly happened but it was probably just because of the bad port onto the pc.

    most glitchiest game would have to be any of the lego star wars on either the gba or the ds.

    Maybe the game glitched itself to creep you out even more. It wanted to impact on you more so that is why it is the best game ever! XDDD​

    Awesome thread! I'd have to say I haven't run into any awesome/fun glitches yet but the most prolific one has to be MissingNo. Someone mentioned RDR having an awesome glitch? What is it? I just started playing the game...
     
    The most annoying glitch: Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4. I am almost done getting 100% and one of the rooms I have to go in to get the student in parall is totaly glitched to the point you have to restart your PS3. When you into the slytheren class room it starts to load and then... never stops and you can't even access you PSN menu after that. So it looks like I'll never be getting platinum trophie.

    The most funny glitch: Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4. Yes again another glitch in LHP. This one isn't as bad the other one up there, Its when you're being Lucius Malphoy his cain keeps appearing and dissapearing, it is very annoying if you are trying to be him in a level and all you see is his cain glitching up.

    Yeah one time I was playing an old copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and a guy got sent off for nothing at all.
