So why teach younger students as opposed to older ones?

I love Pawn Stars. Is there anything you like about it?

Do you ever consider yourself becoming an smod or h-staff?

Haaaaate teenagers. I like younger kids. They're quirky and funny and while I have a difficult time talking to teenagers and people my age, I don't have a difficult time with kids. Plus I didn't want to concentrate on one subject, which is what I'd have to do if I was doing secondary education. I don't want my students to be taller than me as well.

What was the last thing you ate?
Cherry Sour Straws.

How many Pokémon plushies do you have atm?
Pretty sure I counted 26 last week.

How many Pokémon plushies do you think you'll have at the end of this year?
30 is a good guess. :)

I love Pawn Stars. Is there anything you like about it?
I used to love going to pawn shops with my dad all the time, so naturally, I'd like a show about them haha. That was like our weekend thing. And my paw paw liked to watch it as well, and he's gone now, so it's kind of like a reminder of him. The Old Man reminds me of him too. And I like learning about things that way. Much better than reading a text book, plus the show isn't limited to just strictly history book things like wars and such. There's pop culture in there too, which I like. Oddly enough, I'm not a huge fan of American Pickers. I used to like it...but my paw paw passed away during a marathon of it. idk if that has anything to do with it.

Do you ever consider yourself becoming an smod or h-staff?
Maybe an smod one day, but I can't assess myself any higher than that without knowing how well I would do as an smod. If it never happens, I'm okay with that. I love my forums and trying to give them away would be insanely difficult, whether I quit or get promoted.

What is your favorite part of being a moderator?
Honestly, my regulars, especially in challenges. They are all so amazing and wonderful and supportive and AH. Just recently I gave them all a shoutout in the User Appreciation Thread, so you could go see me gush in that post if you'd like haha. As for my other forums, they're all things I enjoy. I love Pokemon games in general, so there's the catch all with PGC. Adv Gen is my favorite gen...no brainer. Who DOESN'T like gen I and II?! And then...there's...spin offs...yeeeah. Anyway, I also like helping out the community as well, and discussing things that may change on the forum. And blue. I really like blue. To add to that other question about being an smod one day, the hardest thing about that would be becoming orange. I just really like blue. It matches a lot of things. And it's blue. I just woke up btw...thought I should mention.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
I am a cookies n creme kind of gal. ...That also applies to cakes, cheesecakes, puddings, frostings, almost anything. It has an Oreo? I want it.

What if I told you my party would be reasonably sized so like around ~10 people, would consider attending?

What one Pokemon challenge would you recommend to someone?

Maybe. Because of my job, I have to learn to get used to big groups, so 10 isn't really too much of a problem for me anymore. Though it will take me a bit to feel comfortable enough to actually speak out and such, haha.

What one Pokemon challenge would you recommend to someone?
Random. Always the random. The thrill of not knowing what the hell your team will end up like is fun and you end up using things you might have never thought to choose and you get a new favorite out of it.

How do you go about randomizing the Pokemon for the random challenge?

You ever been to an anime convention before? If you could choose to cosplay as anything, what would it be?

How do you go about randomizing the Pokemon for the random challenge?
There's a randomizer linked in the challenge, and you could just google it. It'll show up. :) It's actually quite fun to just play with and see what you get even if you're not gonna play one, haha. But when you sign up in the challenge here, someone will use that randomizer and post what it gave you. :)

I have not, but the few times it was a possibility, I thought about cosplaying as Petilil. If that doesn't go through, I can cosplay as Ness. I have the hat and shirt and a Courage Badge. :)

What are some of you favourite YGO and Pokémon cards?
Since I was never big into YGO cards, that's easy. Dark Magician Girl. As for Pokemon cards uhhhh. I don't think I could ever pick an absolute favorite card, but my favorite set is Neo Destiny. :) If I had to pick a favorite card, I'll go with Neo Discovery Umbreon. The Holo Rare one, not the regular rare. My first Umbreon card. <3 Still have it. I also really like Expedition Butterfree, Neo Genesis Bellossom, Jungle Eevee, Neo Destiny Shining Celebi, Unleashed Xatu, and Darkrai Cresselia Legend (idk the set though).

What does an average day in the life of Sydian look like?
Court television, staring at Pokemon cards, #swablunest, Tumblr, Chick-Fil-A for $4, sitting around, Books A Million with the hardcore metal junkies, PC.

If you had ~ two minutes for the entire world to listen to you, what would you say - assuming you don't faint on the spot, bite your tongue etc etc.

What gaming consoles do you have?

How long have you been collecting Pokemon cards for and how long you been into YGO for? Do you have any fully complete Poke TCG sets / which sets have you collected the most from? You should also start shipping over the competitive cards you pull :p

Nothing, as I would have already fainted regardless. Kidding. I would tell the world they need more love. Cliche? Probably. But I'm tired of the hate in the world. I feel like John Lennon now.

What gaming consoles do you have?
I have all Nintendo home consoles except for the SNES (but my grandmother has one and I grew up with it) and the Wii U. I'll fix that problem, of course! I have all Nintendo handhelds as well, except for the GameBoy Pocket, Micro, and DSi. And I don't have a Virtual Boy either, if you count that as handheld since it was marketed that way, and as much as I like to collect Nintendo handhelds, I will gladly skip the VB. And I also have a PS2 and Xbox 360. :)

I've been collecting on and off since I was about...5 or 6 I believe? I have no complete sets sadly, but my ultimate goal is to have a complete Neo Destiny set someday, whether by pulling it all or buying it. I don't care how I get it, but I will get it one day. :) I am currently collecting Plasma Storm, so I probably have the most from that, but I have a ton of stuff from a lot of ex sets in my drawers. I may collect Plasma Freeze as well. Haven't decided, but I do want a booster box. As for YGO, I was into it when I was 10-12 years old and I kind of quit caring about the anime during Virtual World in DM. I got back into it this year after catching it on tv during spring break. I made fun of it, wanted more laughs, rewatched YGOTAS, and then...wanted to actually read and watch it and here I am feeling 11 again. n___n Not big on the cards though, but I would love to have a Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl card at least. And I would love to ship cards and trade them with others, but living with my mom and not being financially stable on my own, I don't think that'll happen. Bet on it one day!

I'm not really partial to posting my pictures on PC, but this one is so old it won't matter. This is me, with two of the first four cards I got from my cousin. Oddly enough, the ones you see here...are still in my binder today. :)

Which Pokemon game is your all time favorite? Least favorite?
Emerald is my absolute favorite. It's no secret that gen III is my favorite and I am the Queen of Hoenn, so naturally, the best of Hoenn would be my fave game! My least favorite, again no secret, is Diamond and Pearl. They run so slowly, most of my least fave Pokemon are from Gen IV, Sinnoh is my least favorite region, too many HMs...just bad. I love Platinum though. I will give it that. But DP? Stay away.

Who is your favorite band/singer? Least favorite?
My favorite band is Kings of Leon. Thank you to Klippy for introducing me to them, as I've never looked back haha. I have all their songs and albums on my iPhone. They're the only artist I have all their stuff with me at all times. My favorite singer is Ariana Grande. I loved her character in Victorious as well, and she's just a sweet and wonderful person. Least favorite is Taylor Swift. I could go ON and ON about how much I dislike her, but I really don't feel like it. I mean...I think it's obvious.

Have you ever met up with someone from PC before?
I have! I met Jon, or Mr Cat Dog, in London on the first day of 2012. It was grand! It wasn't really planned, more like...joked about. And I didn't think it would really happen. I always thought my first PC meet up would be in the US, not when I was out of my country. Sadly, we didn't get a picture together, but oh well, we both have blog entries about the occasion (his is better than mine), so you could go read up on that if you want his perspective! I will say that I spent most of the parade looking for the sign he said he'd make for me, heheh. And MASS CONFUSION from my friends like "whoa how do you know someone from london???" and explaining PC. Secret out, whoops! :P

This post is so long, I'm sorry you guys!

Would you say that you're more of a person that sugarcoats what you say sometimes to a person, or are you more on the blunt side? o: Or would you say that you're a mix of both?
I would say I'm a bit of both. Sugarcoating never helps much, but I don't have it in me to be totally blunt or rude all the time, unless I feel that person really needs it. So for the most part, I'm both, but I'm a bit more on the blunt side.

Seeing as you have a strong interest in Education (at least, I hope I'm right in this) have you ever considered teaching at perhaps the high school level, perhaps? Or maybe become a private school teacher or anything like that? Or do you feel that you won't be branching out from your original goal (being a special ed instructor) and staying where you are to help those who have special needs?

If I were to teach high school level, it would be English and I'd only consider it if I no longer prefer younger students. I would rather teach at a lower class school than a private school. I want to be somewhere that I feel children would need me. And there are schools here, such as the one I graduated from, that I don't feel need me. They're doing fine and the teachers are great. I want to be somewhere that's not really the best in the state and hopefully improve lives and give new life to learning. My major isn't strictly special education, however students with special needs are mainstreamed more nowadays, so I'll likely be in a regular classroom. When you choose elementary education here, you have to choose it with early childhood (preschool) or special education. I obviously don't want two year olds, and I always have done well with students that are different than others. I have two great kids to thank for that, Seth and Landon. I don't see them anymore, but I owe them a thank you for being an early influence in my life. :)
