Yeah, two pluses...

Use this thread for all discussion pertaining to the series Amagami SS+ Plus. Here's some handy info on the series:

Synopsis:

Sequel to the first Amagami SS series, which ran for two seasons in 2010. The original series was adapted from a PS2 dating sim and was notable for its subdued character designs, use of unusual fetish scenes instead of more explicit romantic content, and "multi-route" format in which each "route" (route referring to courtship of a particular girl, for those not familiar with dating sim terminology) was given an equal amount of time in its own arc with each arc in a separate timeline, meaning that there was no canon pairing in the series.

Airing Info:

The show is scheduled for twelve episodes and will begin airing January 6, 2012.

Characters:

Probably not necessary for anyone who's seen the first series, but for those who are visiting this thread out of curiosity, these are the main characters of the Amagami franchise:

Tachibana Junichi (the protagonist)

The main character. He's been struggling to get into a relationship since his last girlfriend skipped out on a date on Christmas Eve two years ago, but resolves to get a girlfriend by the Christmas Eve of his final year in high school. He's an average guy but kind, chivalrous, and adequately intelligent.

Morishima Haruka

A popular girl at Junichi's school and difficult to approach romantically. Is attracted to men who, in her words, act like "puppies" and need to rely on her. She's 1/4th British, which reflects in her blue eyes.

Tanamachi Kaoru

Junichi's childhood friend and a jovial tomboy. Works as a waitress and lives with her single mother. Unquestionably has the best hair in anime history.

Nakata Sae

Cripplingly-shy girl and Junichi's junior. Junichi takes it upon himself to try and cure her of her shyness.

Nanasaki Ai

Soft-spoken and sly girl on the school swim team. Takes care of a black cat that lives around the school and is responsible for the care of her younger brother.

Sakurai Rihoko

Junichi's friend who holds an unrequitted love for him. She's pleasantly plump and constantly struggles to find members for the tea ceremony club.

Ayatsuji Tsukasa

Junichi's class rep and a highly motivated student. Doesn't take kindly to people discovering her secrets.

Tachibana Miya

Junichi's younger sister (don't worry, there's no romance). Helps Junichi get to know junior girls in her grade, loves meat buns, and has a painfully adorable laugh.

First episode says

He's dating Ayatsuji, after the events of her route in the first series

From this, I'm hoping they do another set of stories based on the continuation of the respective routes of the previous season. Was wondering how they'd handle this, and from what it looks, it's going rather well.

Watched the first episode. Quality and humor was definitely on par with the first series, it looks like that each arc is just going to be a one-off vignette with each of the girls. I'm fine with the format. As for specific details of the first episode:

Perfect setup to see awesome yandere Tsukasa next episode. SS+ would be boring as hell if it was just generic romance following the end of the girls' arcs, I'm glad they're focusing on material that lets the girls' respective quirks shine instead. I guess this means more shy Sae, more om nom nom from Rihoko, etc. Yes, please.

A little late on starting but...

JUINCHI WHAT ARE YOU DOING AAAAAAAAH. To make me so emotionally charged after the first episode. This is going to be a much better continuation than I anticipated.

Also, no more character EDs? That was one of the best parts of the show. ;_;
