    Amiibo Casino

What is it and when is it?

Amiibo Casino is a spectator event where fully trained amiibo Fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fight it out in a tournament style bracket! Spectators are prompted to pick a preferred fighter for each match and points are awarded to the spectators who bet on the winning fighter. The event will take place over two days with three different brackets! These consist of:

    August 18th, 8:30pm: (16 Fighters, 1v1)
    August 19th, 5:00am: (16 Teams of 3, 3v3 Squad Strike)
    August 19th, 8:30pm: (16 Fighters, 1v1, Turbo Mod)

These matches will be streamed in the PokeCommunity Discord server for all to view and participate in! All you will have to do is follow the mid-event instructions on how to bet and the rest will be handled by us!

    How are points awarded?

At the end of each bracket, the top three scoring betters will earn points for their team!

    1st Place: 50 Points
    2nd Place: 25 Points
    3rd Place: 10 Points

    Participation: 5 Points

What if I can't make it live?

We understand that not everyone will be able to watch live. 24 hours before an event goes live, the initial bracket will be posted allowing for people to make bets through a Google Poll for the first round matches on each day.

I hope you have a chance to watch and enjoy the event! It went swimmingly last year, so I'm very excited to run it again for everyone!

  • This doesn't look too different from last time and that went super well, so the event looks great to me.

Only thing (primarily for GT management peeps) - worth changing to longform event points, or do we want to maybe do something like 50/25/10 w/ 5 for each person?

    Yeah I like 50/25/10.

Would you consider that for each bracket or as the event as a whole? And the 5 is for participation?

I think across the whole event, as I believe it's just over essentially 2/3 days?

5 for participation yeah (including 1st/2nd/3rd)!
