Amona: The Trails and Tribulations

Danny followed the professor, while he was following her could not help notice all the buildings, "This town is so much bigger than the other starter towns..."
 
The professor nods. "Indeed. Everything in Amona is bigger, and its quite hi-tech." She opens the door to her lab, letting the two in. "So, let me show you our pokemon!" She picks up three pokeballs, then throws them. "Leoni, Beava, Spikapine! Come on out and be on your best behavior!"

The three pokemon appear in a flash of red light, and they look up at Lana and Danny curiously.
 
Danny eyed the three pokemon very carefully, "Can you tell us a few things about each pokemon?"
 
The professor nods. "But of course." She points to the lion cub pokemon. "This is Leoni. It's a fire type. Spikapine over there is our grass starter. And finally, Beava is our water starter. All three of them are excellent pokemon."
 
Danny went for the water pokemon but the this one did not seem to respond to him. The grass one looked at him but then gave him some attitude. Danny then walked to the Leoni and it nuzzled him. Danny picked her up and looked into her eyes.

"I think I want this one then," Danny said hugging the lion cub.
 
Lana looked at the two remaining pokemon. Both were adorable. And it didnt matter which one she picked. It wouldnt level out her team any, she already had both a grass and water pokemon. She knelt down and looked at them both, then looked at Spikapine. "I think I'll choose you."

The grass pokemon jumped into her lap. The water pokemon sighed, but just then a little girl ran in and saw it. "Oh how cute! Can I pleaaaaase have that one?" She begged. Lana smiled. This would work out after all.
 
"So professor, what do you recommend for us to do in this town? If there something to do or which is the way to the next one?" Danny held the lion cub and Nidorina in his grasp. He gently placed them down at his feet. Leoni and Nidorina began to play with each other near his feet.
 
The Professor smiled. "There's a gym in this town, actually. You should do some training, then get over there"
 
Danny looked at his new pokemon, "What does this gym leader specialize in?? He petted both his pokemon then looked at Ivy, ?Another question: what the gym leader?s name??
 
Lily smiled. "She specializes in Normal type pokemon. And she doesnt like to reveal her name to her opponents. She likes them to be surprised. So, here's a map, and an updated pokedex. Good luck on your journey!" She hands them the map, pokedex, and the starter pokemon's pokeballs.
 
Danny thought about the information the gym leader. 'If I did not know any better, I would suspect she would be the gym leader but hey, as long as she gives us a fair battle.'

Danny grabbed the items from Ivy, "Can I borrow your pokemon transmitter?"
 
Lily nodded. "Of course."

Lana picked up Spikapine, standing up. She looked over at Danny, ready to go when he was.
 
Danny walked to the machine and tunred it on. He entered his Id# and a list of his pokemon were downloaded. He placed to pokeballs on the transmitter and one was brought out. Now Danny only had Dewgong, Arbok, Nidorina and Leoni and the new one he received from the machine. Packing his items he walked to Lana, "Ok I'm ready."
 
She nodded, then stepped over to the machine quickly. Following the same steps Danny had, she got her Dragonite back. "Ok, lets hit the road. Thanks Professor Lily!"

The professor nodded. "Anytime. Good luck on your journey kids!"
 
"Thanks Professor Ivy!" Danny waved to the prefessor, "So Lana should we go to the gym?"
 
She shrugged. "I think we should test our pokemon. How bout a test battle?" She smirked. She always enjoyed alittle competition. She knew Danny had the advantage, but it would be fun anyway, and would gain their pokemon some experiance for the gym.
 
Danny smiled at Lana, "Sure, you want to battle the new pokemon we just got? Or some others?"

Leoni looked as if she did not want to battle Nidorina looked ready to battle.
 
She shrugged. "Doesnt matter to me. Whoever you'll use in the gym battle I suppose, to give them some experiance before hand."
 
"Sure," Danny looked at Nidorina, "Go Nidorina!"

Nidorina ran to the center of the two trainers and was ready to battle.
 
She looked at Nidorina, then thought about her choice. Finally, she turned and gave a nod to Spikapine. She pointed to the 'battle field' between them. "Spikapine, lets hit it!"

The small pokemon nodded and ran into the field, ready for action.
