Basically i used to play the TCG when i was little.
and i got bored with it thanx to all that E-Reader, lvX, EX bull.
but i got a gift of this deck,& a couple packs from a good friend who played the game, which featured these "delta species" pokemon, i loved them!

so now i wanna know if you guys have any tips, and ideas for me so i can start over?

originally i used Fire types, and occasionally Dark
usually combined with Electric,Steel, & Normal.

Well, the thing is, Delta Species Pokemon are from sets that were phased out of Modified in the summer of 2008, and actually came before Lv. X Pokemon did (which debuted in 2007's Diamond & Pearl set), so you wouldn't be able to run those at tournaments. My advice if you want to play competitively is to buy packs from any of the following sets, since these will be legal after the phase-out in August after Worlds:

    Diamond & Pearl: Majestic Dawn
    Diamond & Pearl: Legends Awakened
    Diamond & Pearl: Stormfront
    Platinum
    Platinum: Rising Rivals
    Platinum: Supreme Victors
    Platinum: Arceus
    HeartGold & SoulSilver
    HeartGoldSoulSilver - Unleashed
    Pokemon Rumble
    HeartGoldSoulSilver Trainer Kit
    Promos DP22 and higher
    Promos HGSS01 and higher

If you are looking for a deck engine similar to Delta Species (but not the same since this engine doesn't do any evolving) is the SP deck engine. SP decks dominate competitive play, and the game is heavily geared toward fast decks like the SP decks and Jumpluff (from HGSS).

Its a bummer because Delta species are no longer modified/legal for tournaments. You can check more about the game and find tournaments and leagues near you at op.pokemon-tcg.

i saw the HG/SS cards on youtube

Jumpluff from HGSS has a crazy fast deck that dominates Modified.

    porygon-Z family

    as them main basis ^_^
is there any porygons in the HG/SS packs?

No Porygon yet in HGSS sets. At least, not Stateside.

As for Typhlosion, Tyhphlosion Prime works well in combo with HGSS Ninetales.

Also, for a place that has actual scans of the cards, PokeBeach has 99% of the English cards scanned, so you can look at the cards yourself so you're not completely in the dark about what we're talking about. ('b-')b

im usin bulbapedia, they have the cards in japanese, but they say if its been released or not ^_^

    typhlosion prime?

    whats a prime?

Just a special foil version of a Pokemon, though so far they've only been Stage 1 and Stage 2 Pokemon. It also tends to be a very good card. If I were you, I'd check PokeBeach's scans to see what it looks like. (b'-')b

If they're the Special Energy, yes, since they have an effect (and they have been getting reprinted, as have the special Dark energy). They did start making Basic energy cards for both Steel and Dark. Your best bet to get enough is to buy a theme deck that has the energy you need, if you're short on energy. Takes too long to collect the energy from the packs.

And that Feraligatr only really works well in combo with other Water types who bring the energy into your hand. It's too slow otherwise.

    so there basic energys now?

    aweseom XD

    i used to do this:

    24energys
    14 supporters
    the rest pokemon ^_^
    usually 3-4of basic, 2-3of stage 1, and 1-2 of stage 2
the cards still at limit to 4right?

Yes, 24 energys is much too many, there are many trainers and supporters out there now that get the energy out of your deck so you don't have to run so many. I would say the most important part of any deck in the current format is your trainer/supporter/stadium section, so I would suggest researching those. Pokegym has some good articles on deckbuilding, as well as some explanations of the most important cards of the format right now, you should read up on those to get familiar with how the game is played now.

Nah. It's basically a consistent version of Copycat, which was first printed way back in Expedition, and got reprinted officially in HGSS (though it had many Pokemon who had attacks that imitated what it did.

There's even more draw power in some of the PokePowers, and in several other Supporters. It's gotten crazy fast.

Though I personally don't think that T-Tar Prime and Typhlosion Prime combo well, since they're both Stage 2 lines that would take a while (relatively, of course) to build up, and T-Tar can only use so many Fire energy.

my original strategy was to get the original charizard& typhlosions in my bench, let my staller get owned
then id hit them with an endless fire storm XD
