    I dun't know. Actually, my outburst at NIDER was a little Melodramatic, because, truth be told, it's one of the best translations there, along with Catap.

    This is so terrible that it's is awesome!

    It's like the translators just ran the text through Babblefish and never bothered to doublecheck it. Will be following this closely!

    What puzzles me is why was it so hard to change defence to protect? It has the same character limit. Ahh, that's crazy translated japanese fan games for you.

    Hey, just so you guys all know (as some of you seem unaware)

    OUR pokemon red & blue, are edits of Japan's Pokemon BLUE


    Japan released Pokemon Green & Red, these were fairly buggy, and as is customary in japan, a new version of the game was released POKEMON BLUE.

    At this point pokemon had sold a tonne over there and was released in the US as Pokemon Red & Blue, both based on the revision.

    The character limit is due to the fact that Kanji is shorter than most english words.



    This translation actually happened BEFORE pokemon Red and Blue got released here and has circulated around the globe MANY times since.
