given how the series ended, i don't think it's possible to write a second season with the same cast of characters - unless they go for a spin-off kinda thing.
a vn adaptation with multiple routes (one per character? or multiple PoVs?) would be splendid however

sorry to tear down your hopes and all, but that's probably just baseless optimism from some fans, mixed with hopeful thinking.
i saw the source, and it seems that they were taking a joke too seriously (some casual comment from Yui about her being the main character the second time around, which doesn't fit, since she's not in the "cast" for it.)
it's not the first time it's happened; they've done it for little busters! (it's still not here?) and an extra character in k-on and probably several more that i can't remember at the moment.

maeda jun's said that he'd never write scripts for an anime again, anyways.

I heard there was going to be another Season and something like Otonashi Yuzuru is getting Reincarnated in the second season. So, who knows.

There might be a second season. It just hasn't been officially confirmed yet or maybe it has, but I'm not sure.

As for K-On! and Little Busters!.. I didn't know K-On! was going to get a 6th character :/
and I was hoping Little Busters! would be an anime too.

Anyway back on to Angel Beats! the second season, I don't think has been confirmed properly yet.

The OVA was really fun x3
The tension was awesome, and you gotta love Yurippe's villain side n__n
...Then they all died from starving ._.

I doubt a second season... Though I guess, seeing how popular the series was, they could make a sequel for profit.

YAY! someone watched it finally D;
I woke up really early in the morning, just to see this.

Yurippe in that OVA was really classically brilliant, if that makes sense.
Her plan was great, plus the tension thing made me laugh for a while.

Hinata kind of over did the "Fun" and being Happy part, but he was epic.

Also, Shinna! I love her character in this. I'm making her my favorite Angel Beats! character now.

I kind of feel sorry for Otonashi though because he looked like he was confused.

Otonashi was definitely needed as the comedy straight guy, or the jokes wouldn't be as funny.

...Though it would have been cool to see him hyper as well!
