Alright, so, yeah, I'm an 18 year old male in college...screw that, this game is so flipping addicting.

Haha, any other Animal Crossing fans out there? Yeah, it's definitely a child oriented game and definitely geared for those who like "daily activity" kinds of games (which I'm obsessed with), but I kind of like the whole concepts to it. All your neighbors have different personalities, species, houses, decorating skills, items, etc. and in the new game coming out for Wii (I believe on November 16th) it'll have wifi capabilities so you can talk, visit, and do activities with friends and other people from around the world.

I also love that you can go to the city. In a sense, this game is like Harvest Moon but replace farming/love relations with animals, daily tasks, holiday activities, and living a life of a rural/suburban town.

I am so glad I'm not the only person looking forward to this release :D! Animal Crossing's one of my guilty pleasures, and I've really enjoyed both the GC version and Wild World. The whole "city" thing sounds really interesting, though, and it really adds to the Animal Crossing world. Gives it something interesting, you know? A little bit more than just like... fishing and catching bugs and stuff. XD

The fact that I can move my AC:WW character to AC:CF is interesting as well, although I don't know if I'd actually use it or not since I'd rather start anew in City Folk.

Same here-although my little brother bought the WW version and won't let me start a file. XD I if do, I don't know how much I'd invest into it, I'm much happier starting over with the Wii character.

The city thing is so neat to me! I was actually saying that as soon as the original GC version came out; they should have an animal city! Unfortunately, they still have you in the town, you can just go to the city for certain things. But still, everything you can do there is pretty cool, from shopping at GracieGrace to getting your shoe color changed. :P I hope the wifi aspect lives up to it, I'd love to see how my friends towns and neighbors are doing.

The only thing about AC that bugs me is having the same neighbors in a friends town (or other memory card, which is what I did with the GC version). It can't really be helped but still makes you say "HEY, YOU'RE THAT BEAR FROM MY TOWN, GET BACK THERE!"

haha. Oh, and having AC as a guilty pleasure can't be wrong, right? It's so innocent! :mudkip^_^:

I will definetely be getting this game. The problem with Animal Crossing is that it gets boring after a while. I got bored of the first game within about two months. Wild World on DS kept me hooked for about four months. The Wii version, with all its extras and online play, should keep me hooked for considerably longer. Plus there is a prospect of seeing KK again. KK Slider makes the AC games great by himself. If you do nothing else this week, be on Animal Crossing after 8pm on Saturday to get your KK song.

True that, KK's concerts are so fun to listen to. I get bummed when it's a slow song, but you've gotta grab those too to complete the collection. I'm sad; I have such a hankering to play, but my GC is in a box somewhere and I really don't have the wire space to set it up, and Wild World is lost in my brother's mess of a room. -_-

Does anyone use particular furniture collections or do you guys mix and match? I'm a fan of the Classic, Blue, and Exotic sets, but sometimes I'll throw in some crazy patterns to see what looks good.

Oh! And in the Wii version the Happy Room Academy has an office you can visit in the city. Haha, I wonder what you can do there.

    I'm definately getting City Folk.

While I didn't like the DS version that much, I was obsessed with the Gamecube version. I played it at least two hours a day every day for almost two years. I have hope that City Folk will be just as addicting as that one was. I hope Nintendo does some cool stuff with the online options, like a lot of new items and furniture updates and maybe huge fishing tournaments and stuff. I mean seriously, the possibilities are infinite.

I liked Animal crossing for the gamecube, but wild world was a disappointment. hopefully they brought back the features that made the GC one superior to WW. The wii speak looks prety sweet though, I'll be happy as long as people sharing a town dont have to share a house too.

I have Animal Crossing, had it for about 3 months. I find it boring but I play on it everyday, it's addicting XD

I always miss the karaoke thing on Saturday's, I haven't done it once

The GCN Animal Crossing is an addicting game. I was disappointed with the DS version. It changed some things for the better and some things for the worse - even if they were tiny changes.

Looking forward to the Wii version. I wish they would really up the graphics though. It's a little bit better, but...can it at least look like the official art from the first game? Same style, just not all N64-ish.

well, at least nintendo is being smart with this game. The jap realease is the same as US, I dont know about europe though... Anyway, i read in nintendo power that they wanted to be able to add new items to the game after it's release, wich will be great. And you can take your character off of wild world and have them move to the city folk, so i'll be startin out with my crown and 500000 bells, and fruit in my pockets!

I'd much rather just start over, it makes the game fun. :mudkip^_^:

That's pretty cool, releasing the game at the same time everywhere. What the hell, gamefreak, you can't do that with Pokemon? XD (yeah yeah, complications with translations, uh-huh.)

So true, once you start playing it's hard to stop. It's so hard to quit! I have the DS one and I've basically done everything there is to it. And now there is going to be one on Wii!? I'll be on it 4 hours a day or something....

The best part to me, something in games like Pokemon I've wanted foreverr, is real influence of day/night factors and seasons. I think it's so great that everything happening on the real calendar happens in the game: I can't wait to see what new holidays or events are coming!

I just want it to be more like the gamecube version. The town seemed like a much better place then in WW. And the music in WW was lame. I hope you can make constellations again too, I had a sweet one in WW where sometime in June the moon would align with it and would like like the FF7 logo.

i'd like to not share a house with people too, especially because my sister plays animal crossing too, shes gunna pay for half of it, and she's a terrible decorator.

Haha, the decorating thing is the reason you keep upgrading your house: eventually, you can give your sister her own room to decorate, so she won't have a say when you turn the upstairs into toyland or a backyard paradise. :P

Yeah, so by that I mean I'm pretty positive you have to share houses again. :/

The music and town will of course be much more like the GC version simply because of graphics and sound capabilities that the Wii > DS with.

I never made any really great constellations XD I wasn't that good at it. But I can't wait to design a Pika shirt to wear around. I could probably make a Cornell University shirt too with a big C :P Sweetness!

oh shoot! I think the article in Nintendo power said something about a new in the designing but i cant rememer...I'll go see if i can find the issue
