Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct set for November 2nd

Following on the heels of the Nintendo Switch reveal and the Monster Hunter XX direct, Nintendo announced...a month ago, apparently, that they are going to air a Nintendo Direct devoted to Animal Crossing on the 2nd of November.

What's it going to be about? Amiibos, probably- at least in part, in conjunction with the upcoming update devoted to them. Other than that, who knows? I wouldn't go getting excited over an AC U/Switch though, but who knows? It could make for a solid, if strange, last hurrah for the system.

If in this Nintendo Direct they do announce a game for the Siwtch - did they reveal anything about AC in the Switch unveiling? I don't remember - I'm curious if there is going to be some kind of "gimmick" that combines the playing style of the Switch with the typical gameplay of AC. Honestly, I'm moreover curious if they are going to change up he typical formula for AC, and if they do how it's going to be done.

I'm excited to say the least. It's a very passive, relaxing game series, so I always welcome a new game whenever it can be done.
