Sugio... looks like a character that belongs in Yu-Gi-Oh. And that's not bad at all. He's sort of that rival looking guy.

The silouettes are Lakoko, Ash and Silver. Those were SO easy
About the background, why dont you combine both your styles and try new things. I'd suggest new techniques like the background of the pic of Claudia that's in my sig. The enlarged, easier to study version is here

I'm not sure if Photoshop has those but PaintShoppro does. And you could also try different textures, and do weird random things like checker or plaid patterns. Boy, you could even do the halftone dotted print in color and make it look insane!
btw, no one's commented on my art thread. That picture would've been posted by now if SOMEONE had commented on my latest mangastyle. But since I dont double post.... I may have to start a new art thread T_T
well, keep at it, this time with the backgrounds. Wait, did I say "keep at it"? Well I meant try out my suggestions. You could even pull a Maverick_from_Sppf and do real photo backgrounds and blur them but it may change the effect of the picture...

And i had figured out that the pic of Red is from the R/B/Y sagas, but in that drawing he looks like he was 14, but that's from the R/G/B/Y sagas (i say that by the colour of the shirt, because in the G/S/C sagas he uses a white one.) ^^;

I'm sure P_Bugsy has alternate Brawly on her pc, being that she supposely has every picture of him known.
For Flannery, I had an idea for her alternative outfit but it would be more of a "different emphasism" on Flannery, focusing more on her cuteness and innocence. She would wear a regular ol' kimono following the color theme of this Masamune outfit I made a while back
edit: it seems the colors are too much like her hair color
you can do orange, I recommend it.
I hope you can do it because I'm dead sick of hearing how "hot" Flannery is. I want her to be known more like Whitney is, that kawaii and adorable gymleader.
