*snickers at manga +1 over anime in poll*

I prefer manga for almost every series I get into. The story's original and the art's in its raw form. Anime adaptions tend to ruin the aesthetic for me and sometimes it deviates from the plot altogether.

That said, I do enjoy most 4koma anime adaptions and original anime series.

^ What Phani said in a nutshell, except I don't understand 4koma. :D

I dunno though, it depends on the art. If the manga's art is cleaner and prettier, then I prefer the manga. If the anime's art is cleaner and prettier, then I prefer the anime.

But usually, I like my manga, because it stays true to the actual storyline. We don't get fillers. We don't get crappy animation every now and then.

But I love hearing voices, and I love seeing things in color. I guess it's a one-one thing, but I'd still say I like manga; mostly because I can name so many more manga I've read, then anime I've watched. :/

Manga or animé?

Which one of these two do you prefer? To read a manga or to watch an anime?

I like anime's more; I am not a reader and i have a really hard time to get through one book.

I would say manga just because anime keeps getting more and more kid-oriented, which makes it worse.

I perfer aime to manga. We talk about manga and anime in my Language Arts class cuz my teacher loves ze anime. lol

We already had a thread about this, so I merged your thread with that one; please be sure to check that your thread doesn't already exist before you post it. Thanks.

It depends really. The Naruto manga is much more enjoyable than the animé. But I enjoy One Piece as a show than the manga. So it depends ot the quality of the show.

depends

wen it comes to anime vs. manga it totally depends on if it is fightin based or complicated relationship mumbo jumbo based. obviously fighting basis is goin anime and relationship mumbo jumbo is manga

It depends on the series. Sometimes, I will prefer an anime over its manga counterpart whereas other times I will prefer a manga over its anime adaptation. For example, I prefer the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime over the manga. However, I prefer the Ranma 1/2 manga over the anime.

I generally prefer manga over anime, it's easier to take with me when I'm on the go and they usually don't fall into the trappings of lazy art, like some longer running series tend to do. That and I really don't like most of the seiyuu out there, so it's easier for me to not put up with their voices.

I can tolerate manga, but I really prefer anime. The vivid colors and music are a bonus, and usually the voices make the experience even better. Also, some anime have filler eps so the story is expanded in a way. The anime is occasionally better at building up suspense or setting the right move. Lastly, anime has theme songs, and, IMO, the action is much easier to follow :) (i.e., Naruto, One Piece) But I don't like when the anime completely deviates from the manga at some point (i.e., FullMetal Alchemist.

Oh yeah, the dub anime of Naruto IMO has better jutsu names than the manga.

I like both exactly the same. I don't think I can choose one over the other.
