Another pointless, hypothetical PC related question!

Definitely A. If you're in group B and make the wrong decision, you'd be ripped apart. :< and C doesn't sound all that fun to me tbh.

A: This would lead to TOO MANY power hungry, power crazed people who are just gonna delete, move, lock etc just for the hell of it. Ban people they don't like(even though they did nothing wrong). This would be the end of the world. Ban mods and admins before they could get control back.
B: This would be the best and most helpful option for any member of the community. Because isn't this about making this a place where EVERYONE can enjoy it? Yeah, not everyone will be happy with every little change, but when Situation 1 goes south, Situation 2 might be just exactly what they want. The negatives? In voting for mods, people would probably vote for their friends, and their might be a little backroom politics going around.
C: Everyone should have to follow the rules, and this job shouldn't be entrusted to any one person. Why? Because they could make changes that no one agreed on, and who could stop them? There'd have to be a few different people who'd have this level of access.

I'd choose C. Mainly for the being exempt from the rules part.

Yeah, that would be awesome, but other than that I would be A.

Because, that seems to help PC out the most.

Well Nick, I would have to say choice B, simply because the others seem like slaves to those in the B category.

I'd go with B, just to mae a positive impact on the community.

B is definitely the most fun. In many ways, I kinda miss B from the good ol' days when I was all orangey. A gives you the satisfaction of doing stuff directly, and I suppose C does to a certain extent, but B is almost the nerve centre of a place like PC and that suits me to a tee!

Posting Binge: 31/40

> You also have the power to infract and ban all users on the forum.
> ban all users on the forum
> all users

So yeah, A, then IP-ban everyone;
because I have nothing better to do in an awkward hypothetical scenario.

I'd choose B, because at the moment I have been a little inactive from PC, but I also think choosing Mods and stuff would be pretty cool. But I didn't choose C because I don't think I should be exempt from the rules. That is a little unfair imo.

A: I think it would bother me being unable to do any mod work, but I usually only step in to do that when a mod isn't on and I don't notice anyone else doing it. :x So I don't think it would bother me that much to not be able to do it.

C: god I hate doing that sort of thing. I'll throw my hands up and do it if everyone else is too lazy or is ignoring it (re: uploading emblems) but I don't really enjoy it.

B: I looooove giving input on decisions and whatnot, though. I'm probably one of the few who likes dragging that sort of thing out so we can cover every detail, think of every possible counter-argument, and so on. I love rational discussions and knowing I make a difference on PC and really, only having the power to make decisions might make my job more appealing, hahaha.

a, although you wouldn't find me using my "powers" much. i don't want to get any more involved with this site and its people than i already have. just give me somewhere to go and aimlessly spew thoughts during my down time.

that last PotW thread was really lucky, having two extra days of stickyness.

So this is 2 days late, I know, but my internet died on Friday night and it only just started working again today. >_< Actually I don't think any of you noticed, but oh well.

Congrats, this thread is Poll of the Week! Because it is awesome. *stuck*

Ability A for me. I feel it'd be contributing most to the Forum by keeping it running smoothly which is what I think is most important out of the three choices. Choice B would be nice but it doesn't actually allow me to help the forums myself, just to make decisions involving it which imo wouldn't be as rewarding. And option C just seems kinda pointless; what's the point in having an Admin panel if you have no say whatsoever in what you get to do with it?

In theory/in front of other people: None of them *prances haughtily off*

In truth: B.

I'd be wonderfully happy with A. Being able to moderate as I see fit would be all the power I honestly care for...mostly because noobs who won't learn get on my nerves. It gets on my nerves when a newb comes along and refuses to read the rules or learn their lessons.

I have to say, recently the rules have taken a turn for being harder on the n00bs, which is OK I guess. Once you've stuck around for longer than 3 months, there's really no excuse. You should have read the rules by then, and you should be ready for that two week ban if you keep ignoring the staff's warnings.

Personally, on minor things like necroposting I'd warn them once before infracting. Trolling, depends on how bad it is, and Spam gets one warning before I bust out the red.

Other than that...meh. Where I would mod? Probably a sleepy town like OVP if not a bustling metropolis like OC. ;)

A: The power to move, delete, merge, lock, and hide threads in all boards. You also have the power to infract and ban all users on the forum. This means if you see a problem, you can solve it right then and there without relying on someone else to get on and handle the problem.
B: The ability to make community decisions. This includes your vote being supplied to chose moderators, remove moderators, create new rules, and being involved with forum decisions like merging them, etc. Ultimately, this means you have a voice that you know counts.
C: The ability to implement changes decided upon by Group B, but don't have a say or have the ability to access these discussion. You do, however, have access to the Administrator Control Panel in full. To make things interesting, you are exempt from the rules.

I wouldn't mind doing/being any of them but out of all of them I'd have to say I prefer C. I'm quite used to doing things that people tell me to do (sometimes I'm that sad person who has to wait to be told what to do because of e being unsure if I should do it or not).
Also I like being an implementer. I like hearing what people want to happen and at the same time try to improve what is being asked of me.
I don't know if it's me being an artist or not but it helps when you do a lot of requests. When you get a request it's your job to make it happen and to fit the requester's request. Rules I see not being a problem. Even if your promoted I don't see how different you should act towards the rules
