Anything in the games that surprised you?

I was surprised by the final few scenes of SV, did not expect the story to go in that direction. It was awesome. There are probably more things, but this is the most recent one I remember!

Anything that surprised you - in either a good or bad way?

The whole Area 0 portion of SV. I had enjoyed the game and its story to that point fine enough, but by the time I beat the E4 the hype was starting to wear off and I wasn't looking forward to the post-champion arc when I felt everything had mostly wrapped up. I went into A0 pretty much blind and was completely blown away by how atmospheric and dark the whole portion was. It really felt like a geniune expedition into a dangerous, unknown place; with the characters reacting accordingly.

Lusamine and Nihilego. Expected a normal battle with Lusamine that would end in Lunala/Solgaleo scaring everything bad away, or something like that. Was not prepared for a fusion. Seemed a bit scarier than something you would see in a Pokemon game.

Ultra Necrozma caught me by surprise first time playing USUM.

Don't really recall anything else.

The most surprised I was had to be with the Unova E4. Just when I thought I was going to fight the champion Team Plasma shows up and stops the show. It caught me completely off guard and it made Black and White as well as Team Plasma so memorable because of it. It also made the fights with N and Ghetsis epic because they basically replaced the champion fight.
