Put you're Num lock on, then on the number patch on the right of your keyboard, hold Alt, while holding alt type in a few or up to 5 numbers and most of the time you get a Symbol. Remember, Don't use the top numbers. Then when you have finished with the numbers, release the Alt button then a Symbol should come up.

I'm almost always on this computer. But I still hate getting kicked off (and for some reason it always happens when I'm doing something I really need to do). If my laptop was online it's fix so many things.
