That's very true. Sometimes when I come home from a tiring, crappy day, I just want to have a nice convorsation. Alot of the time I don't want to have long posts to read through, so I just don't read through them and look for something else to do here. XD

thats exactly how i feel. thats why i always come online to meet you guys in here from my crappy boring school. =/

Or maybe good stuff to talk about is presented, but those don't know what to do with it....

Hmmm, yeah and sometimes there just isn't much to talk about without trying to start a completely new topic. It happens during the slow days where posts are separated by at least an hour.

And that leads to stupid 1-1's and 'It's so slow!! D:' posts when those people don't even take the time to think of a topic! Because of time zones and school, you can't expect the DCC to always be fast o.o;;

Edit: I hate laaaaaaaaaaaag D:

I see that all the time nowadays. It's annoying, but true.

I just had to refresh twice. XD

Well in theory, shouldn't there always be a topic? Even if one hour passed since the last post, you can still relate to that last post to talk about. Every post spawns a couple of other possible topics for the next post, regardless of time, to post on.

I suppose that it only happens when people only responds to the topic, and make a very "linear" post that allows no flexibility for others to follow up to. Of course a topic will die if the previous post said nothing but "I'm bored, someone say something."

That's just me though. I am probably saying something wrong and violating some rules that I've forgotton to read somewhere.

Actually, since there is a whole DCC forum, why not use it? We could have an "IDD"; Intelligent Daily Discussions. It'd be better for people who want to banter back and forth with people more indepth, and have better discussions than "How was your day l0lz0r?".

Just an idea though.

You're forgetting that there are some very lazy people who go on the DCC who a) Are too lazy to look at the last topic b) Think the other topic ran out of discussion juice c) don't like that discussion or d) just want to raise their postcout.

You didn't break a rule I don't think...

Matt, that was nothing but flamebaiting. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to warn you for it. =/
If anyone starts responding to the flamebait, it'll be a warning for them too.

This is true, but then the people who were talking about it won't be there, although this makes it no different, it's just natural to add on the topic, and then change it.

I don't think you are breaking any rules. You're actually making a very good point.

a) Assuming that the person is tired and want to relax with her friends, isn't it common sense for that person to scroll up to see what her friends are up to so she can join in and have fun? I really don't see any possible excuse for this one, even if it's a crappy day and is tired...

b) That's why we need more posts like yours. There's 4 points to it, and so it's 4 potential new topics to talk and expand on. I poked my head in here before, but didn't see anything interesting to post on until now. There's actually topics now.

c) Well, I doubt that the Daily Chit Chat will get into anything controversial anyway. Isn't it just a place for people to talk about what they're doing, and what other casual topics there are? I'm sure that the staffs will quickly direct the topic back to the right path.

d) I think that status shows not by a number, but by the posts that person make. Isn't that kind of silly?

Then we'll just have to deal with those people when they surface.

On an odd note, Naminé just triple-posted... O_____o;;;

I hope you don't think we're stupid enough to actually take that post seriously as flamebait x.x;

Namine: Yeah, it is stupid actually x.x I agree with you, but I'm usually on when most others are on thanks to my timezone and schedule so that happens rarely....even though it does happen x.x;

Jack: And I just double posted D: Lag bites x.x

No, the lag wants a rabbit this time. Looks like you're gonna have to sacrifice yourself... XP
