Anime > Cartoons
Although some cartoons are okay for my statistics.

I know that Chibi wasn't officially starting yet...I just had to have a little fun with her first >D

General opinion seems to be the correct terminology here as there are definitely exceptions to the rule, albeit few. Whereas most anime have a more coherent storyline, more mature themes and more realistic animation quality all around, there are a few cartoons whose overall enjoyment factor is greater than some of the more low-end anime, like Invader Zim, Ren & Stimpy, and other classics.

Usually after watching so much anime we have to be reminded that we're allowed to laugh at something animated, but by the time that we do remember we tend to be inable to enjoy childish comedy like we used to before we switched to anime because we take a second look at everything else through a lens that is demanding of more quality. I've tried to allow myself to enjoy cartoons for younger children again but it's very hard; I think I've only put The Tick and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends on my very short acceptable list after a long time of searching for anything with redeeming qualities.

But, yes, most definitely, anime is far better than the average cartoon o_o;

No, no, I was joking XD You just sounded bubbly in your post and I took advantage of that even though I knew you weren't intending to act like Rei in that post >P
