Honestly, it isn't the younger members I worry about. It's most of the older ones that are completely capable of holding an intelligent discussion that are the ones making the short posts. I'm not saying PC needs to change or anything. But it would be nice if people put more effort into what they say. :3
I see that often, and it annoys me that a thirteen year old like me uses grammar better than them.

Con-- Like Alan said in his long post that you obviously didn't read, he stated that new members and n00bs are COMPLETELY different. N00bs are people that are here to hassle us and really don't care at all...
I try to avoid noobs. And Con, if you're not going to bother reading the longer posts in here, I suggest you leave, because you're going to be seeing alot of that.

I guess you are right, but I didn't read wanna read his post, might cause me to become angry.
Then maybe you should take a break from coming to the DCC for awhile. Go check out the Mixed Games and Trivia ...or...Trivia and Games @@

Youth is a valid excuse for inexperience, not unintelligence. If one holds a disdain for learning and respect, they hold it from the time they first begin to learn until the day they die. It is better to wait to see whether a member's posting style changes over time as they mature and ease into forum life than to condemn them immediately for short posts, though people who have been at forums as long as us can see the telltale signs of a hopeless person immediately. Encouragement is the best thing we can do right now, definitely; we simply watch the newer people progress toward better posting skill, then weed out (not in the sense of banning, but ostracism) those that refuse to take the initiative. It's as simple as that. Prove yourself to be a worthwhile person or face the consequences.

Who said that I don't read long post? I just didn't want to flame anyone and get booted out. N00bs try what they do to annoy members, as it is plain to see by the post. It is o.k. to speak your mind, but flaming is pointless, as it is not good for pc, and is why many people get kicked out of pc on there first n00b day.

It's the members mood on if they want to conversate or not. Thiugh I agree on your post Ashley about putting effort. Well we may have those conversations soon like we are having now. Mabye we just have to wait.

You know what would be fun, Kaga? Following you around all day and summarizing your posts XP It might not seem fun to you, but I think that'd be fun XD

I should also stalk Ashley one day...BWAHAHA >3

I like to stalk people too, it is fun to see what they post, and scare them a little...

The problem with that is that you expect every post directed against you to be a personal attack, whereas my refutation was very objective and meant no harm. You can't run away when challenged; people will think you're a pushover.

Tell me the day, and I'll make sure that all of my posts are extra-long just so you can actually have real summarizing to do...though I'd love to see you try to shorten one-sentence posts too...maybe I should just stay in my fanclub to the exclusion of everywhere else XD;

But unfortunately you won't get the full picture; most of my posts are in the mod lounge nowadays >P

Stalking can be quite fun, if you're not the one being stalked. One time at school earlier this year, I was stalked by a guy. It was so scary. ;o;

I was stalked by moderators on the first week I was here. It was scary indeed.

I was just advising you, Con. Yes it is okay to speak your mind, but to a certain extent. You can't go around saying, "Oh this place sucks. *spam*" Flaming is pointless, but it happens anyway, and the only thing that can keep members from doing that just happens to be warnings.

I need to go. I have my last TAKS tomorrow. Wish me luck guys.

I've been falsely accused of stalking someone before; it was long ago and I had very powerful enemies so the rumor still persists to this day. It's probably the most upsetting memory I have of high school; you'd think that people who claim to know me and trust me would allow me to give my side of the story but I wasn't able to for a very long time after the whispers began. Fortunately, no one in high school, bar one teacher who was told and believed the rumors, is still around that remembers. Senior year has truly been a new, albeit late, beginning for me.

Stalking me would be like stalking Andy... all I do is leave PC on the who's online page so it auto-refreshes. And I don't really post unless I have to anymore, so stalking me would be quite boring. But be my guest to stalk me if you so wish. XD;

That post pretty much says it all. Not much I can add to that as I totally agree with what you said~

To bad for you, I had my TAKS test today and yesterday. I hope you do well!

You really need to post more often...come on, you could easily reclaim your title of Queen of the DCC if you only tried. Spearhead the quality post revolution or somesuch >P

When I see people stalking me I stalk them back just to make them uncomfortable o_o

When you are stalking someone, they tend to notice and use invisible mode, like me. It doesn't work against mods and higher, but it keeps average members from following you.

>: It can't be that fun...what's there that can't happen here at the DCC, huh?

I'm watching you Kaga....you and The Hunk need to stop sending messages and post at the DCC~~

Since when was I ever the Queen of the DCC? That used to be Simon... not me. XD;

And I'd gladly start posting again. The thing is, whenever I'm on, nothing is going on. I always miss all the fun conversations...

I haven't stalked anyone in a long time, I should really start doing that again. <3
