Namine, If you think that the DCC is so pointless, then why do you continue to come back here? If you don't like it, don't come. Simple as that.
There's no use complaining about it, and besides, it's post quality has gotten much better than it was before.

Instead of complaining about the DCC posts all the time, you should try to encourage a subject that requires more thinking and a lengthy response instead of just mentioning the fact that you think people can't post properly in here.

Is it so wrong to speculate pointless posts? Nami-chan's behavior is simply this: to muse over useless things and yet participate, and I'd hardly call it complaining. Granted, she has no grudge against the DCC or its posters, and it was me who actually encouraged her to post more, so no need to berate her like so. We simply enjoy posting with each other in this matter, so please don't take it personally + I apologize for any misunderstanding. ^^;

Oh, Alan, been meaning to ask, do you know what the Mebium theory is? It's a new math operation I have to master before I'm allowed to graduate...and even my teacher doesn't know what it is...it took me five hours to even get an idea of how to do it. We had an odd conversation that went like this when I asked for help...

"Hmm...well you see, that's actually very easy, all you have to do is...whoops, gotta answer the phone."
"But your phone isn't ringing..."
"...it's on vibrate"
"But it's not a cell phone..."
*teacher walks out of the room*
"..."
"I'm going to die."

I can't find any information about it on the internet o_o I tried wikipedia, then google, but nothing...it must not be something covered in calculus class or something so new that our textbooks don't include it o_O;

Pah...that person actually gets paid to teach? He sounds even worse than a lot of the teachers at my school...

Yeah...it's confusing, it's like the bastard child of every single math operation after he's grown a hate for his parents. Didn't think there'd be much about it, it's a little known type of math that isn't covered in most schools apparently.

And yeah...but then again, chances are this is the first time he's heard of it. XD

I wasn't trying to berate her~
She does pass up very good points, but she can't change the way people type~ and neither can I~
I'm just trying to enforce the rules so that we get less spam and stuff like that~

I was also wondering if maybe we could start a Daily Discussion Thread for those who like debating and long posts like the ones Namine is mentioning~

X3 and you have no need to apologize~
@@ Just sometimes I get sick of people saying "DCC Sucks" all the time ._. and I'm trying my hardest to keep it good so that everyone will enjoy it~ ._. So it makes me feel like I'm not doing good enough or something~

Anyways, yeah~
My most commonly used smilies are o_o, X3, :3, <3, ._., and @@~

smilies? okay xD

ahem...

>: >.> <.< >.< xD ^^ ^__________^ =D D= >=D D=<

i don't really use many but... >xD< pwns all of the smilies.

bow down to the mighty smilie! =D

Ah, I apologize anyway, Kura. I didn't realize you meant it like that.. ^_^

A bit late, but~

Ah...then it seems all the more unfair that they expect you to use it; I've had some bad math teachers in my day but never one that didn't know their own material. I actually had to explain some points of right triangle trigonometry to a new teacher once, but that was about it. Just be persistent about extracting an explanation from someone if it's this important to your grade o_O;

No, seriously, at one point I think you've used them all in one convo. XD

Mokona is now mine!

Well it's sent by the state, so my teacher can't really control any of it. So I'm more or less on my own for the rest of the month...and then I NEVER have to take another math class again.

Naminé warns those who has something to do in his or her mind to skip this post.

Namine, If you think that the DCC is so pointless, then why do you continue to come back here? If you don't like it, don't come. Simple as that.

When Naminé recalls a long distant past that is recorded by the link that a member has given within the Other Chat section, it showed a few archives of the old DCC. Naminé cannot help herself but to be fascinated by the great quality of posters made by the old members. Therefore, Naminé can only dream of such a place to exist secretly. The other day, Mr. Chairman Kaga invited Naminé to post along with the DCC in an attempt to increase the post quality of the DCC back to the way it once was, or at least a portion of it. So, Naminé stands here now to carry out her acquaintance's wishes, visiting once in a short while in a weak attempt to hopefully post something of decent yet barely acceptable quality, in hopes of influencing others by setting an example.

If something is broken, shall Naminé not try to fix it if possible? If it is not likable yet is proven from historical records by the online archive that it stands the potential to be likable, shall Naminé ignore its great potential? Naminé will have to try against the odds for once and expand what is likable to a selective few, into what's likable for almost everyone.

There's no use complaining about it

Naminé always thought that it would help in reminding people of what they should try to do if she does so. Guess that she stroke a fault in her terrible plans... It never hurts anyone including Ms. Kura to aim for post qualities that is higer than the acceptability suggested by the minimum requirement in the rules, hm? At least, to Naminé's dimmed vision, that is to be so.

and besides, it's post quality has gotten much better than it was before.

Naminé is certain that Ms. Dratini weeps at this comment, wherever she is right now, if she even visits any forums, or even the internet at all anymore. May honor be paid to those who are part of the PC Veterans Club, as they will certainly remember, and other fellow new members who read the archives.

Instead of complaining about the DCC posts all the time, you should try to encourage a subject that requires more thinking and a lengthy response instead of just mentioning the fact that you think people can't post properly in here.

Naminé's apologies... she would try even harder to think of a more general and broad topic that can include everyone else to be able to participate in. She shouldn't have seized control over the DCC with Ms. Lily earlier this morning. Naminé tried her best to write lengthy responses with quality like Mr. Chairman Kaga and his formidable 3000 word essay a few days ago (which went completely ignored by everyone else but two others, if Naminé recalls correctly.)

Is it not contradictory for a staff member of a forum to say that they have no power or right to change or influence the way a member posts? If rules are set to stop "spam" then the rules are set to force an influence upon on members to not post in a particular style, even if it is that member's personal liking. Similarly, even though any form of posts that are not prohibited by the rules are passable, it should not stop any staff or even any regular members from trying to push the quality of posts in general to a higher limit. For how it stands now, Naminé desperately tries to find a place to fit in, but she cannot see anyway to post in a topic about how one member should starve another member, or anything along that line of development. She was hoping that at least the mentioning of Kingdom Hearts can stir up slightly more room for chit-chat than one member performing the splendid act of eating on another member's sock and the likes.

Now may the world resume with life as Naminé goes back to whatever world she came from~

Naminé doesn't know enough about mathematics to know what Kazuhito is trying to find out. Perhaps it is better known for in another name which may produce an easier search?

S'okay~
@@ Like.. one side I have people complaining that the posts in the DCC are too long and hard to follow, meanwhile the other side say that the DCC is too spammy ._.~
So.. it's hard to find a balance, really~

*giggles at Jorge's comment*~

Naimine: You don't need to apologise~ o_o;; And you don't have to type as much as you just did to get your point across either~
I know that you like to be very thorough, which is good~ But it's unnecessary here~
It can get really confusing and hard to follow if someone wishes to respond~

I know you also want long posts and interesting discussion topics, so I encourage you to try to post with those who will also talk with you in this way to bring the DCC post quality up~

--; I just don't like when you say that there are so many "pointless" posts in here.
No post is pointless unless it is spam. And I catch all the spam and give people PMs for it.

>>; I don't read each and every since DCC post for no reason, you know.

So yeah~
I apologise if I sounded rude or mislead you or anything ._.~

A random living room/bed room/ computer room/whereveritisyourusingthecomputerfrom?

Nah, I think that's the only name it has. It's supposed to be a form of experimental mathematics, but it's meant for people two or three times my age or those with really good Sciencescores...so I still can't figure out why I have it. Thanks anyway.

Oh yeah, random question to you and Lily, what's up with the third person style posting? o_o

Naminé started posting in third person; Lily found it unique and strangely intriguing, so being a little copycat, she inevitably followed suit, hence the odd DCC conversation they just had. XD

Nami-chan started it! Don't eat lily! ;;

Reminds me of the time I started posting in "Fourth person"...which was stupid, and I don't even remember why I found it funny. XD

*should probably go eat breakfast lunch*

4th person? Is there such thing..? XD I've never heard of it.

Lily said:

There probably is...in some far off language no one has ever heard of. It went something like...

Kazuhito: Kazuhito is very bored at the moment and feels like he should eat something. He glances over to the kitchen and sees a loaf of lemon bread which he will now eat.

...I really had too much time on my hands back then.

*confused* Isn't that third person?

Lily thinks Kazuhito should keep doing that~ tis cute. :D

Kazuhito: Kazuhito thinks and responds with a "witty" reply.

Kazuhito: Somewhat, but the title at the front is a cheap way for Kazuhito to pass it off as a new form.

Okay, I'm gonna stop that since it's stupid. XD

Lily: Lily absolutely DEMANDS you disable smilies in that post. ;_; edit: oh wait, you did so =o
Lily: 4th person...she gets it, now. XD

That was fun. XD

To Naminé such a way of speaking is also third person, but Mr. Kazuhito has decided to format it in terms of a short, little script. As to what Naminé knows for other languages, she sees that there is only the first person ("I say") and the third person ("Naminé says that") all together for different ways to express oneself. The second person is to talk with "you" but one cannot talk in the second person. It exists as a classification but not as a method of talking. If it can be done, then Naminé would have advised Ms. Lily to take up that method of speech instead of copying Naminé. Yet, she feels that even if there is another way to talk, Ms. Lily will copy Naminé for the joy of "amusement" nevertheless, sadly~

That's just third-person really. There is no such thing as 4th-person perspective in writing.
