You don't
There are no automated battles in the game.
Though, you could add some interactivity to that...
Say, use an ASM routine to replace the backsprite of the player with the backsprite of one of the people. Then give the player some pokemon, and have them battle... then at the end you could remove all of the pokemon and then change the backsprite back.
You'd need quite some hacking knowledge to do it all though.
 
Is there a Safari Zone in Fire Red?
if not how would i go about creating it?
by this i mean the mini game aspect not the graphical design of it.

Edit :

I downloaded Bewildered so that i could
change what pokemon appear in the wild
in each location, atleast thats what i hope it
does

however - i cant get it to run, it says that no
rom is loaded, but i dont get an option to load a rom
do i have to place it in a specific location?

EDIT AGAIN :

right so i placed the ROM in same place
as Bewildered and it worked and i loaded
the game but it

"Supported Rom, but Wild Pokemon base is Unspecified"

what does this mean, can i not use Bewildered?
i have a UK version of the game if that makes a difference

Hiya guys,

I got a question.
When I close my menu in my hacked Fire Red version, my character suddenly replaces Sister Joy behind the counter. I am able to walk with it too.
I figured it had something to do with the map scripts, like (05 on entering map/on menu close), but I actually have no clue how to fix this.

Commands such as release or special 0x182 (you see this in the original clean rom script) won't do a thing.

Does anyone know more?
 
and i am back with another question
is it possible to change the ways pokemon evole?

as i want to change the way ALL pokemon that need to be traded
in order to evolve as i find it VERY ANNOYING for example :

Abra evolves into Kadabra at lvl 16 but you have to trade it
in order to make it evolve into Alakazam but i want to make
it so that at say lvl40 it evolves with no need to trade it

lol, Sister Joy. NURSE Joy.
It's just their behaviour. You know in Advance Map, how there's a drop down menu where you select how you want NPCs to walk around and such? Set Nurse Joy's behaviour to "No Movement". Any NPC whose behaviour is set to "Look Down", will cause this, so just be careful as to what you set, and you can easily avoid it.:D
to the poster above you, yes there is a Safari Zone. Fuschia City, at the top. And get AdvanceMap, it can sort the Wild Pokemon. Bewildered, Dexter, EliteMap, they're not really that good. There are plenty of alternatives in the Toolbox, Advance Map can do what both Bewildered and EliteMap do.

alot better and the Pokemon View is very good :)

Any idea for my Evolution question?
i tired Rs Evolution but i just cant
get it too load get some message that Pokemon base is Unspecified
 
Ehm well first of I am kind of new to the whole rom hacking thing but I think that I am getting pretty good, any way I was putting a script in the hero's room in pokemon ruby. But after the script ended it like reverted back to the clock event and then when I leave the house it starts the truck event. I have tried everything to prevent this but I just cannot find what I am doing wrong. Can someone please help me?
 
How can you change the safari balls obtained in Pokemon Firered and the time unlimited? I want to do this for a certain part of the game but I don't know how to.

Like I special set it as Safari zone in the script and start with 600 steps and 30 pokeballs. How can I make the step like.. 600,000 Steps and 9000 pokeballs or something + How can I take teh Retire tab on the menu out of there?

is there a way get pokemon to be able to
evolve into a different pokemon
such as Pikachu evolve into Charizard?

is it also possible to make a new pokemon
using a current pokemon as its base just changing the name?

is it possible to make a pokemon learn a custom move
or edit a current move name and allow a pokemon
to learn it at a specific level?

by the way i am using my phone at just gonec1am
to post this as the idea just came
so i cant search forums and wanted it down
so that i dont forget should u have not
answered by the time i get on late today.

Can hacked games trade with real pokemon? Im assuming thats possible, unless you are trying to trade fakemon outside the pokemon ID range
