I love contests. I've always considred myself more of a pokemon breeder than a trainer. I farm berries and make poffins and even tend to teach my pokemon moves with nothing but contests in mind.

Granted, once a Pokemon gets to level fifty or so I take it to the move tutor and replace all the contest moves with stuff that's useful, but it gives me something to do with them while I'm raising them and if a Pokemon ends up having really low stats after I've trained it it doesn't feel like a total waste of time when I see the master ribbons on it.

All in all, the contests are just random enough to be fun as long as you don't take them too seriously... Which I guess I do sometimes. >_<

No, I don't.

Maybe it's because I'm a 22 year old male. I don't know. I just really dislike DPPt's contests.

I am not dressing up my Pokemon. It's like dressing up your pet. It's not happening haha. I miss RSE contests. They were much more fun.

Besides..the only Pokemon I have right now that would have a good contest moveset is my Garchomp..and my Garchomp isn't getting dressed up or dancing. I know it's just a game. Oh well haha.

imo, the contests from r/s/e are better :)

Insert random filler here.

In my opinion, I don't like Pokemon contests, but they can be fun and interesting when I'm really bored of training my Pokemon.

No, but I've figured I might as well if I want to get all 5 stars on my trainer card. I'm going to kill two birds with one stone and beat the Beauty contest with a Feebas/Milotic that I plan on EV training. Since it will have maxed Beauty, I guess it will do pretty well.

I greatly preferred R/S/E contests, which were much simpler and straight forward. Dancing is cool, and I guess dress ups could be fun for some people, but they really would have been much better as completely separate mini games.

I only took part to get a star for my trainer card. Got bored of them pretty quickly. Though I used to play them a lot in the 3rd gen games.

I like contests more than battles in the show, but in the game I like battles more. I still do contests though! xP

Putting together contest movesets is a load of fun and it gives u a reason to use not fully evolved pokemon that may be your favorites and non EVd pokemon.

Even if its not a requirement of the game to upgrade your training card color, I still do it for the fun of it

Nahh, contests are a waste of time. Ribbons serve no purpose anyways.

I always thought they were just a diversion, just something to else to do when you didn't want to battle. They were ok, but I never really got into them in Ruby/Saphire/Emerald because I thought they were kind of dumb and all I really wanted to do was battle

Honestly it helps pass the time. I can never feed my PKMN the right poffins, though... I have a Blaziken with Max Cool stats, 13 ribbions from Hoenn and Sinnoh, but I NEVER beat the master rank....

3rd generation contests were the best with combos.

I see contests as a sort of mini-game and it can be fun and challenging at times, although the vague dress-up themes annoy me. I only really do it to get that extra star on my trainer card
