So remakes for for RSE are sought-after by many fans of the series, some even going as far as saying they're almost definitely on the cards. I myself would love to see remakes for these games.
However, many in the RSE remake speculation thread have suggested that an Emerald remake could work better/RS remakes should at least include aspects of the Emerald storyline.
Pokemon Emerald was initially released in Japan on the 16th September 2004 in Japan, whereas FireRed and LeafGreen were released almost 9 months earlier, on January 29th 2004.
With that in mind, is there any possibility that we could see a second revamp of the games from Generation I (or remakes of the already revamped versions)?
This suggestion has come up a few times and is often met with criticism because FireRed and LeafGreen are remakes themselves. But considering the fact that FR/LG predates Emerald, are remakes of FR/LG equally as plausible, or even plausible at all?
I personally think that if GF were to remake both the RSE and FRLG games, they'd have to make a crucial decision regarding how to divide the games up. The only way I could see it happening realistically is if they made one remake for RSE (or just Emerald) and one for FRLG, and release them as paired Gen III remakes.
However, I don't think it's entirely necessary and GF could probably get away without remaking FRLG without too many angry fans...
So yeah, what are PC's views on this?
Edit: To avoid confusion, this is in no way a speculation thread concerning RSE remakes. There's a separate thread for that.
