Are memory foam mattresses any good?

    My mattress is about 6 years old and needs replacing. I want something really comfortable that helps my sleeping but I don't want to drop too much money on something that is terrible.
     
    I got one months ago that's a hybrid of memory foam and spring to replace a mattress that was older than me, and it was probably the best choice involving money I ever made. I've heard that the memory foam doesn't withstand the test of time in the long run, so a hybrid might be better.
     
    Pretty sure my mattress is 18 years old at this point...at least the bed I sleep in is that old.
     
    I'm gonna go to the mattress store sometime this week and try out a few. Also considering ordering a Casper since they have solid reviews and ship for free.
