Are Pokémon Invincible?

Pokemon do die, eventually.Like Celebi in the movie, but it revived. x:
Nintendo just doesn't want to see kids read that when, "All of [name]'s Pokemon died!" or, "[Pokemon] died due to Poison.."

They way I see it, in battles, Pokemon probably have a hormonal reaction that after a certain amount of damage is done, shuts them off into a stupor like state, AKA fainting, so the body can work to heal itself.

And Pokemon can most likely die of many causes, old age, hunting, food (Moo Milk isnt ALL Miltanks are for...), and if possible, human or Pokemon killings.

Its like how I justify Pokemon battling, in the wild they probably make the other one faint, then kill them. Trainers made the battling safe!

My Bazooka wants to pay porygon a visit

If I got a gun and shot a pokemon they probably will die just because they dont die in battles dont mean they dont die at all plus i bet the pokemon battle would end before the pokemon could die.

*Ricochet*

Gyrados

...Maybe not. Of course, why don't you test your gun on something a bit weaker...Like ratatta. Or bidoff, you can never shoot enough of those.

No, of course not. They die as well. Every living thing dies.

Obviously, Pokémon are just able to get beaten up. Maybe it's a tough hide? *shot*

Come to think of it...I wonder what would happen if someone killed Arceus...Or how they would kill Arceus...And what would be the consequences...

They way I see it, killing Arceus would only take 2 crucial items, a fricking big shoe, and an Insect Plate. I'll let you figure the rest out.

No one has mentioned the possibility that in competitive battling, the Pokemon are just holding back their full destructive potential.

If a guy can simply go around with a sword and kill hundreds of Pokemon almost effortlessly (this came straight from the Canalave Library, guys), they must not be as godly-strong as you're making them sound.

Well, this Magikarp is! *adds to list of invincible 'mon*
Ah, that's one, plus one, which equals three?

Spoiler:

If you kill anyone of the Dragon Trio or Arceus, you can kiss the world good bye.

Quote from that statue"

Time beats with Dialga's Breath

Space run's along Palkia's heart"

Someone would have to be relly relly stupid to kill them, or even try.

Heck, along with killing Arceus, Dialga and Palkia, it would also be a bad idea to kill Giratina, lest both dimensions fuse... the outcome would be pretty bad if that were to happen.

Killing any legend, actually, would be bad, but it is possible. Latios, Celebi, and Marowak ring any bells? Two legends and a normal pokemon. Celebi was brought back, but if it stayed dead, then... something would happen. Not sure what, but... something. Pokemon are pretty much animals, not hard to kill if you prepare right, I mean, I'm pretty sure you can kill a Pikachu or a Machamp with a gun.

Celebi travels through time to stop natural disasters I believe, so if it dies, then all natural disasters it prevented past, present, and future, would happen. So yeah, that would suck.
