    I don't mean liek BFFS4life or anything like that, but do you sometimes chat with teachers? Is there a specific teacher you greet in the hallways or chat to at the beginning/end of the lesson?

    Do you think it's okay to be so friendly with teachers, or would such action make you think someone was a "teacher's pet"?

    I was discussing it with my friend today, and the students and teachers in my school seem pretty friendly towards each other. Specifically for me and my friend, we both take a class (Ancient Greek) in which it is just us and the teacher. I spend over two hours every week with just that teacher, and this is the second academic year of that, so it makes sense that we'd be pretty friendly. Same with my friend and her teacher.
    I wouldn't say that we were 'friends' though.

    xX

    I watched a play where there was a teachers pet and his finger got slammed in the desk =3
    Well, I'm not sure if I am, I mean teachers are friendly to us and I think it would be better if we were their friends because then we would learn better..

    I get along well with my Drama teacher.

    We talk about geeky things like Fight Club, Video Games, and Musical Instruments.
    Awh, he's sweet. I guess you could count us as friends yes.

    I wouldn't call any of them friends, but I get on with some of my teachers. My Food Tech teacher (I'm a leet chef that's why xD), PE Teacher (I'm très 1337 at Basketball xD), and Sceicne (Nope, I'm not 1337 at this :P)

    A few of my high school teachers were pretty personable, we (my small class and I) shared inside jokes with most of them and there was one teacher whose number we got a hold of and texted outside of class. Fun times?

    More than friends, some of them are like my family. As well as I don't even talk to some.

    I never saw my teachers as authorities, they were there to tell me what they learned, and I pay my bills to learn from them. There's nothing special about being a teacher, and that's why I can get so close to them.

    I hated some of my teachers.. >_>

    On that same note though, I also really liked a lot of them, and somehow I've always had at least two or three teachers a year that I've really gotten along with. In grade school I can't say that I was buddy-buddy with them, because when you're 10 you don't have much to talk about with an adult, buuut once I got older.. yeah, it was cool. xD I've never understood why so many students hated all their teachers, or didn't want to get a long with them. :/

    I personally think it's nice when you can walk out of class knowing you're on your teacher's good side, and that you can talk to them. One year I even had a teacher that liked the same TV show as I did, and we talked about it after class a lot. >_> One day she chased me down in the hall, and was like "OMG DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST EPISODE?!" ...I was bit freaked out in that moment. xD;

    Lesse. Over the year there have been a few teachers where I've actually spoken with them more than just "Hi" "Oh, hello". One example would probably be my math teacher, who is my worst enemy probably the teacher I spoke to and 'became friends' with the most. xD; I guess I'm good friends with my Pre-Cal teacher this year? I Mean, she doesn't care weather or not I'm listening to my I-pod while working/texting. :B

    I'm usually a shy person, so it's rare for me to get buddy-buddy with teachers. It has happened though, yup. -nodnod-

    I am friends with my textiles teacher because we both like fairies. She makes her own fairy dresses and goes to fairy festivals which I think is very cool.

    I used to be friends with my amazingly cute English teacher, but now he's gone.

    I won't say friends, but I've had friendly encounters with a lot of my past teachers, and even with my current teachers we can be pretty friendly.

    There was one teacher I had in high school who would let some of us hang out in her classroom at lunch. She actually wanted to get to know students and pick our brains to find out what we thought about things. I wouldn't say we were friends, but she treated me and others with more consideration than any other teachers.

    I was "friends" with my old English teacher, she was about 23 or 24, and was the most awesome teacher around.

    We used to talk about Heroes, World of Warcraft etc (:

    I'm friends with most of my teachers at the moment simply because of the benefits a teacher's pet can get. Sure, I'm an A student, but being on the teacher's good side can make things a lot smoother.

    I kinda get on with a few of my teachers. The teacher I have for Electronics is nice to everyone, as he kinda has this thing where you learn from him, but he isn't boring (well, instead of telling you off when you make mistakes, he calls you a numpty (literally) and just tells you the correct way).

    All my teachers pretty much like me, probably cause I'm always polite and doing the whole teacher's pet thing. Though I get along with my P.E teacher mostly

    I was friends with several of my teachers last year,and would chat with a few them every now and then before or after class, mainly my English teacher. Then again, most of my class was friends with my English teacher, he'd often just sit with a group of students and chat about the work, rather than stand at the front of the room and teach the conventional way. xD;

    Oddly enough, I've never been referred to as a teacher's pet, despite all that.

    I'm not too sure who I'll have for my classes this year, since I don't start school until tomorrow, but I'm hoping I end up having at least a few that I can get along with.
