Are you going to be an Organ Donor?

I chose yes. Might as well make my body useful to someone when it's no longer of use to me.

I'd have to disagree. I think anyone should be able to keep their organs for any reason though I do think the assumption should be that the organs be donated unless someone specifies otherwise.

Personally, I had given some thought to donating my body to science for research. Maybe one of those body farms where they test how bodies decay under different circumstances. I thought about it after reading this great and informative book about dead bodies - Stiff: The Curious Life of Human Cadavers. It's actually a fun read.
 
i hope everyone here knows it's nearly impossible to use your organs if you die of old age, organ donating is usually only viable in 20s - middle aged people when they die.

anyways, i'd donate my organs if i died early or something. also if you believe in donating organs after your death why not donate a kidney or lung to someone that needs it while you're still alive??

I didn't know that, but I like that idea :P they probably wouldn't let you, though.

Anyway, yeah, I'm an organ donor, for a lot of the reasons everybody else here already said. I won't be getting any use out of them, so they might as well go to somebody who can. Plus, since I can't donate blood, I want to feel like I helped out in some way.
 
It says I'm a donor on my driver's licence, but I've heard that the chances of your organs being used to help someone is very small. At least in the US, you have to die in a hospital, and you have to suffer brain death, so that the doctors can be sure your other organs are still usable.
 
I'm sorry to let everyone down, but I won't be pursuing the path of an organ donor. I would, but my organs just aren't fit for other people.

Yeah, I have everything checked off on my permit except my eyes.
Just uncomfortable with that idea. ._.;
 
Yeah, I've signed up to give everything except for my lungs, but apparently if you've had a transfusion you can't give certain organs? o_o;

(They never said anything when I signed up. The NHS, I mean.)

Also, they sent me two cards, meaning I apparently have two of everything and four eyes. 83 Hawt.
 
I signed up to be a donor as soon as I got my driver's permit, although I don't think that it applied to me until I actually got my license a while ago. I generally like to try to help people, so if I can help save a life, that that would the the ultimate (quite literally, at that) representation of that ideal.
 
I am an organ donor. Says so on my license =]

I figure I won't be needing them after I'm dead, so why not?
 
I've heard way too many horror stories of doctors giving up on patients that could be saved and began to chop them up for organs before giving them a real chance at their own life. While these may be true or not, I honestly cannot discount them in our greedy and heartless times. Not to mention, true or not, they just don't sit right with me. I guess it's a phobia, as even if I had proof the stories were false, I would still be worried about it. Thinking about someone digging around in my body, lifeless or not, really does not agree with me. Guess I'm afraid of major surgery, too.

So, sorry, I am not and will not be an organ donor. No one would want my organs anyways. They're all junk.

And I want to have as much ammo as possible when I'm a zombie. :3
 
In California we get a pink dot on our license or ID card to show that we are an organ donor. I have that pink dot. I mean, it's not like I'll be using my organs anymore if I'm dead.
 
If it comes to it, I will be applying to not have my organs donated.

I want to decay and be eaten after death. I want to return to the Earth.
