3rd Gen Articuno Help

Yea I finally got Articuno last night! It took me like 10 ultra balls and 5 great balls, but it was worth it! I just used all the balls leftover from my catching mewtwo preparation. :D I guess it was bad luck the first 2 times using all 27 ultra balls... lol

It took me 16 or more Ultra Balls to catch my friend's Articuno for her then I acted like it fainted (she almost threw up). Moltres was easy to catch because I used a Masterball but then caught Articuno (2nd) and then destroyed Zapdos, then *pant* caught Mewtwo with Ultra balls. Also Articuno was a 85% easy for me to catch it. I always remebered the huge boulders that were kinda tricky the first time.

oh holy camoly, u used ur master ball on moltres. i used my at my lengendary doggy. u shouldn't do that, that's my suggestion. well i don't care if you do that. i was amazed to see the first kid that use master ball on a normal lengendary. and my friend used is master ball on a magikarp for REAL. but he started a new game.

I save my Master Ball for the first shiny I encounter in the game (except on RSE, when it's reserved for Lati@s.) My Shiny Venonat on LG was captured by a master ball, but for good reason--all my pokemon would have koed it in one hit, and I only had great balls and a nest ball with me. It was cautionary.

Congrats on your big catch, Legendary Birds. I knew you could do it.

So you're not the only one. I have that problem, too. And Articuno is actually my favorite out of Zapdos, mOltres and himself!

hmm...when i caught my articuno it had a little health left (not a sliver, more) and i threw three ultraballs then caught it on my fourth ball, which was a great ball

The Easiest For Me Was Articuno.next,moltres.zapdos Is So Hard To Catch!
I Confused Him,made Him Have Almost No Hp Left(1 Hp) And Put Him To Sleep And I Couldn't Catch Him!:(

My Zapdos was the easiest...I got it down to a little health, and I got lucky and caught it on my first ultra ball [:

Tch. I once used up 52 Ultras on a Moltres that was down ta 1HP an' STILL didn't catch it. >_<
Tch. It's all about luck... or badluck as ya may put it. Tha classical strategy will do -- stockpile Ultra Balls like mad, lower HP an' give it a status effect -- usually paralysis via Thunder Wave does tha job. ^_^

nah, you're better off stockpiling great balls - you can get twice as many, and the rate of catch isn't a dramatic difference. I got it in red, put it to sleep and then chucked great balls, and it was fairly easy to catch.

I thought Zapdos and articuno were easy but Moltres is the hardest one i used the same strategy as i did the other birds and that did not work.but i guess it is easier and harer for certain people to catcha pokemon.

Just save in front of him and you'll be fine. Take him down as far as you can then start using moves like hypnosis or sleep powder and keep the ultra blass flying and you should catch him eventually. Good Luck!
