Who will represent Ash in his eight gym battle?

    It is almost time for Ash to battle his last gym leader in the Sinnoh region so he can collect his last badge and participate in the Sinnoh league. However, before that happens, who do you think Ash will pick for his gym battle. It is likely it will not be a six on six because in the game it isn't a six on six. What four Pokemon do you think Ash will pick to earn him is eight badge?

    I'm not watching the show, but if I were, I'd be more concerned as to what Volkner would use. I mean, it seems very likely that he'll use his DP lineup instead of his Platinum Lineup, going by past experience with the Gym Leaders, and Platinum's more likely than an Anime only team, due to not using anime exclusive teams now (well, besides evolutions).

    I understand what you mean when I looked at his line up on serebii I would expect him to use that team from Platinum other than his DP team, because his Platinum team reflects his gym type, but so far the anime has only used the gym leaders DP team. So I would say prepare for an Ambipom beating down on one of Ash's Pokemon lolz.
     
    I think pikatchu, because he is Ash's best pokemon (in his opinion), and I think Ash would want to use him in his last sinnoh gym battle.
     
    Pikachu is always in the fight for the last badge and Pikachu has defeated most of his opponents when they were electric types. You know Ash doesn't battle by just type.
     
    Well, Buizel will definetly not win, because Volkner, if I remember right, uses electric types, of course Ash may still be dumb enough to not know type advantages and disatvantages like most trainers should, Gliscor will definetly be good, because he is a ground type, and can resist electric type moves, Grotle is also part ground type
     
    Grotle and Gliscor will be really helpful against his next badge and i also think those two and Buziel and monferno will be very helpful in the league

    Herp derp, no it's not :V

    If Gliscor isn't used, I'm going to be one freakin' sad panda.

    Pikachu has to be used; whichever team Volkner uses, it will have a Raichu.

    Gliscor and Grotle are strong choices, because Gliscor is straight-up immune to Electric attacks, and Grotle has been getting a lot of airtime lately.

    Monferno is the next best choice, seeing as it's at least neutral to Electric attacks.
     
    Pikachu, because this is the last badge. Morfeno, because it needs more battle. Gliscor, because it needs more training.
     
    Ash will probably choose the following:

    Pikachu: Aim for dah horn and can fire dah lazahs.

    Grotle: Because he's Ash's mandatory grass type.

    Gliscor: He'll be used just for lols. Paul's Electabuzz managed to hurt it as a Gligar with Thunderpunch, lol. To be fair though, ground types in the TCG aren't immune to electric attacks, so the anime also doesn't have to follow game mechanics. Paul uses Action Replay too, lol.

    Overall: Pikachu, Grotle, and Gliscor will be a solid team.

    Typing means diddly squat in the Anime. Pikachu! Aim for the horn!
     
    I dont even think ash will win his last badge he will lose 1 or 2 times...
    But i think pikachu will wanna battle in this because pikachu would wanna battle an electric type... they might even give volkner a raichu...
    i think it will be a line up with: Pikachu, monferno and grotle

    I think Ash only loses one time whenever he starts a new league and that would only be against the first gym leader. He lost to Brock, Falkner, Roxanne, and Roark iirc.

    Of course, since Volkner = Lt. Surge, then Ash might lose the first time, but win the second time.
