Ash's Dad

'Boomerang' started showing season 1 from the beginning last night (the 10:00 PM eastern showing) and Ash's mother said "your father will/would be so proud" and "you're the apple of his eye". What does that say? Maybe his father is around, but just not shown?

Good point, and considering she said "You're the apple of his eye," as in PRESENT TENSE, he's probably alive, but just a background character they won't show.

BTW Boomerang's had those episodes for a WHILE now...they didn't just start.
 
Umm, anyone ever thought of Ash's mom being Ash's dad? Like Eric Cartman's mom, xD For those who know, then they would understand.
 
That is a very nasty idea, Razmaster.

Who knows, though? Maybe he was adopted, and the real parents have been killed/destroyed/disappeared in a kind of accident.

Or Delia could be his real mother, born through a test tube. It's amazing what people do these days.

Or...

the creator just simply was too lazy to write a father figure. Besides, many typical Japanese anime have the mother as a single parent, or only caretaker/guardian.

But, I don't really know, in the end.

Lol, yeah I know what you mean ^^ Don't think they will reveal who his dad is though, alot of boys in series don't have a dad and they never get mentioned either.

interesting idea.. I liked your theory on the part whereby Ash's biological parents died in a car crash and that Ash was adopted..

lols, and the test-tube theory just reminded me of biology lessons.. am doing genetic engineering stuff now.. lols

okay.. one more thing to add.. I just noticed something that I've seen for several times already, but have yet to react to it.. so now, here it is.

---->> why is it that people get the idea that Ho-oh is Ash's dad?? maybe it's just a fake theory, but the fact that people actually mentions that Ho-oh is Ash's dad shocked me quite a fair bit..
Ash is a normal kid, a human being. I simply can't see how Ho-oh is is father. =/

people, educate me with more theories~~ lols. :P

I can educate on not double posting, :P and i STILL think Ash's dad is Giovanni,

The Ho-oh theory is just not possible, otherwise, if Gary was angry with Ash, and threw a Pokeball at Ash, he would have a new Pokemon!! Not a very good one, until he evolves of course, but a new Pokemon none the less.

I would rather choose to believe that Giovanni's is Ash's dad.. it sounds the most feasible choice amongst so many theories here in this thread..

LOL. and I liked your part on Gary catching Ash in a pokeball (since he's a descendent of Ho-oh..).. I was laughing while reading.. amusing.. :P

Hey i got another accusation (accusation because no one will step forward), Maybe Ash's dad is..... BILL, I mean, He's a true blue Pokemaniac, (pokemon way of saying your crazy,) and he was probably too crazy to be put into a mental institute, so he was put into a lighthouse where he waits to see a giant dragonite, (delusions, this guy is mental!!) like there is any giant dragonite, HAH, and when Ash finally meets Bill, Ash "sees" the giant dragonite, so you KNOW crazieness runs in his family,

Just some guidelines to point out, xD
 
I've always thought Ash's dad to be Giovanni. I think that's why Giovanni makes sure they never make eye contact, possibly because he's ashamed or embarassed of something?
 
Wait...are we talking about the green-haired Bill, who was at that lighthouse?

If so... he's so young. :o

and they don't look alike at all...

At the same time though, I doubt Giovanni is his dad, as well...
 
"when it comes to Ash Ketchum..."

We likely will never find out who Ash's father is... or maybe he doesn't actually have a father (like Anakin Skywalker didn't)
 
Okay I just realised another aspect, Pokemon I think...Movie 4, the Celebi Movie, Ash couldn't have been Oak's child because they became friends, so in a way theres no way they could be related, because Oak actually kinda shows it that they were friends and not related o.o, if that makes any sense...
 
LOL.. you people have ideas.. I love this topic.. I have another one: what if Ash's dad is Entei? He seemed very determined on keeping Delia all by himself..

Okay this is just crazy.. but I couldn't help myself :P

It's true people do consider the idea of Ho-Oh being Ash's dad quite a lot o_O I wonder why.. Was it such great wonder that Ash saw him in the first episode? Maybe the authors of the series just wanted to make the first episode more special..

Oh and Ash could be Gary's step-brother but never his true brother.. It wouldn't make sense why would Delia worry so much only about one son..
....unless Delia and Ash's father were divorced and then each of them kept a son.. but then Ash's dad was to obssesed with getting Ash too so he attacked Delia and she was forced to kill him out of self-defence :laugh:

Man it's nonsense.. pure nonsense XD

But yeah Ash's dad MUST be alive.. Delia's statements in the episodes clearly prove it.

P.S. I still fancy the idea of Delia having a hot, secret relationship with Giovanni XD
 
I still find it hard to believe that Ash's dad is a pokemon.. lols. If so, Ash must have been of some kind of holy descendence.. o.o

I love this tread.. all the interesting theories just keep coming non-stop.. xD
