Hello. This is Charz's sister.
I am "Charz's" beta author. In other words, I'm his sister. Here is my chapter. I'm changing from my brother's third person POV to first person.
Chapter 2: A Date?
All day long, my thoughts kept returning to Flannery. She seems very enthusiastic and fun to hang around with but I could a burning passion to win inside her. She has no problem with her social status. Her looks, personality, and smile just makes you want to confide everything and anything to her. I could see men's heads turn slightly and smile secretly when she passes by. I can't help but have a flurry of jealousness when that happens. I get ready to go to bed, my thoughts filled with Flannery. "Hello, Lavaridge Town! It's time for a brand new day and-" The radio buzzed loudly before I swore and slammed the off button. I yawned loudly. I walk groggily into the bathroom and rub my eyes. After a quick shower and dressing up, I grabbed my backpack and started wandering outside.
"Hey new kid!" A teenage boy shouts from behind me. I turn around to see a guy dressed in black leaning against the wall, petting his Houndoom. He brushed himself off before walking towards me with his pokemon. "New kid, you're not from around here, I'm guessing?" The guy in black said, quirking an eyebrow. "I'm just passing by. You know, I'm trying to get a badge and some pokemon." I replied coolly, stuffing my hands into my pocket. The Houndoom started growling. The guy in black glared at me before saying, "Well, I saw you checking out our town's new gym leader. You're out of her league, okay? I'm the only guy who actually knows her." He jabbed his thumb to his chest and smirked. I shrugged nonchalantly before preparing to turn around.
"Hey, I'm not done talking to you! You stay away from my very very very close friend, Flannery!" The guy in black said furiously and grabbed my shoulder but I shook him off. "Listen, pal. You are annoying me way too much. Yes, I think Flannery's very attractive and I am allowed to have my own opinion." I said calmly. He opened his mouth to say an angry retort but a redhead was soon running towards me and waving. I glanced at her from the corner of my eye and it was Flannery. Sparks jolted in my stomach as I saw her approaching.
"Hey. You were my paparazzi hero, right?" Flannery joked and I laughed and looked back at the guy in black. He was looking very nervous. The Houndoom whimpered. "Say, Flannery, this guy has been telling me to bug off and he says he's a very good friend of yours." I said slowly, watching him squirm with every word. Flannery quirked an eyebrow before glaring at the young man. I stifled my laughter. "Listen, kid. Why don't you go hide in your closet and stop telling people you know me? Okay? Bye bye." Flannery said, waving widely.
The guy practically ran away from the scene and the Houndoom trailed behind him. Once we were sure he was gone, we both laughed out loud. "Thanks. That guy was bothering me a bit too much." I said to Flannery. She smiled and tilted her head. "Now we're even. You save me and I save you. Now, can you show me around? I'm a new here." She said, blushing slightly. I smile at her cute reaction before scratching the nape of my neck nervously. "I'm new too. I just got here." I responded. She thought for a minute before clapping her hands together. "Let's both sightsee together! Come on!" Flannery said excitedly, looping her fingers through mine and pulling me forwards. I looked down and blushed deeply but she paid no mind.
"This place looks good. Let's eat here for breakfast. We have to hurry before those men with cameras come and identify me." Flannery joked and I laughed once again. She has a very good sense of humor. We sat down at the back end of the diner and ordered our breakfast. Once our breakfast came, she rubbed her hands hungrily. "Yummy. I am famished in the morning. In morning, I always jog around a few miles and I get so hungry." She explained, grabbing the fork and spoon. I looked at her stack of pancakes and looked at my measly waffle. I laughed out loud at the situation. "You eat that much every morning and you still manage to look so attractive?" I flirted playfully and I could see a small blush creeping up her cheeks. "Well, I get loads of exercise during the day. An advantage of being a gym leader." She said, wiping her mouth neatly.
I watched the napkin wipe syrup from her lips and snapped out of my reverie to see Flannery's head cocked to the side, staring at me with an amused expression. I smiled sheepishly and jammed a piece of waffle into my mouth. I chewed slowly and gulped loudly and drank a cup of water near my right hand. "We need to teach you manners." Flannery said, stifling her laughter. "Hey! I'm very well mannered, Ms. Athletic Body." I replied, flirting playfully again. She rolled her eyes and set her napkin and utensils down. "What about you? I can see some muscles under those baggy clothes of yours. Hiding from the female population, eh?" Flannery teased and it was my turn to blush.
I flexed my muscles playfully. "Well, hehe. You know.." I said, raising my eyebrows. She rolled her eyes and we both laughed. "It was nice to meet you, Flannery." I said as we walked out of the diner (We paid, of course.) "Same here." She grinned as she replied. We walked with a comfortable silence. We arrived at her gym and the comfortable silence turned into an awkward one. But the awkwardness lasted for only a second. She hugged me tightly and I hugged her back, liking the feel of her in my arms. She broke the hug and I felt ultimately cold. I shivered slightly. She smiled warmly before kissing me on the cheek once again. "Bye." She said, walking into the double doors of the gym. I walked to my house with pride and a new feeling for Flannery.
