@_@ I failed chemistry, so just like...@_@; XD Omg I'm freaking out insanely right now..

Oh yea that one. I think I remember it. XD

Aww,an anti-mod,how cute.
Are you nuts Alex? Simon has always been an Ani-Mod person. You should have seen how pissed off Alyssa got at him when she was in MSN chats with Simon. XD

I am so bored right now I'm thinking about doing some school work. XD

My school doesn't have AP Chemistry, I had to take Physics ;o;

I'm trying very hard to think of a solution to that, Simon...hmm...give me a few minutes x_x;

Turning mercury into gold would be the concept of alchemy...I think.

86?F=30?C according to the formula:

C= (?F-32) / 1.8 with ?F=86?F or 40?F since that's the desired temperature. So the density would decease by 3% for gold and...how much for liquid...? *lost*

I'm not even sure if I'm doing that right...

*gasp* physics! :o
Next year, I can take marine biology....we get a coloring book :3
It has pretty fish to color <3

Colouring *is* love <33

Just kidding. I just like drawing =O

If you're doing it right I think it should be 1% or 10% for the liquid...or I could be really off.

I am so glad I'm...wait, no I'm not...I've got science coming up soon enough. College level...fun fun, that's the one class I sucked in like no other @_@;

For the density of the gold bar, you'd just have to divide the mass over the volume and that would be all since the gold bar doesn't change in temperature (stays a constant 86?), right? x_x;

...Who the hell is Alyssa?

Anyway...here's what I've figured out so far. The weight/mass of the liquid from the first half of the description of the problem is 5.69g at 86?F and 86?F is 30?C on the mark according to my gum wrapper-wrapped calculator...

...Am I doing things right...?

Hello, Andy.

Poor you. ;_; You're school hardly has any AP classes. We have a lot... but then again, I live in CT. <<; I haven't taken any AP classes since I'm not smart enough for those, but I might take the AP test for Spanish anyway~

Edit: Simon... Alyssa as in Haruka, and about a zillion other usernames... she was a mod last year. Surely you remember her... O_o;

Something like that, the other one was the one that had the only increase per 10 or whatever it is in F I think...I hate science...

And Alyssa is that ex-mod who changed her name 50 million times.

Yeah, they don't give an initial temperature for the gold, so I suppose you have to pretend it was always 86?F x_x;

The liquid is a different matter completely ._.;

*raises hand*

I remember Alyssa!! Was she demodded? 0_o;;

The thing is that I don't know the mass of the gold cylinder/bar yet. After the gold gets put in the graduated cylinder with the liquid, the volume of the grad. cylinder is 8.5mL.

Anyway..since Density = mass / volume ....

OMG!! I THINK I GOT!!

Okay...here goes...

With the liquid and gold inside the grad. cyllinder (GC from now on...), the volume is 8.5mL. The mass of the GC with the liquid but not the gold is 79.16g. Soooo...

D = 79.16/8.5

Is that it? But I'm going to second guess myself here... the 79.16g is the mass of the GC iwtohut the gold inside, only the liquid...

Gah...

Oh her...I thought you were Haruka...? o_o;;
