Why, Ms. Ayanami, I'm surprised that NERV would even go out of its way to include Transformers and other unworthy mechs in with its comparison against the Evangelion Unit-01; even the sturdiest-looking competitor would be destroyed with one well-aimed attack.

You know very well that I was referring to the present time and the present conversation; your attempt to contort my statements to fit your incorrect and entrapping interpretation have failed yet again and that anything that has happened in the past is of the highest irrelevancy; I must also apologize profusely for pointing out for the umpteenth time that I said what I said merely to appease you, to end your inquisition which searched in vain for some sign of secret deviance on my part. It is obvious that now that you have become the subject of our long-passed discussion, you must certainly be fishing for compliments to be so insistent that I repeat what was spoken in the past between us. And I, in good conscience, must deny you this; not only to maintain my own integrity but to expose your lack thereof.

Nor dog-girl for that matter. Nekojin is far better than Inujin, but both are rather distasteful in my opinion.

And, last I checked, I am no prince of the air nor have I invoked his terrible power in any of my debates with Colonel Mustang. He is not so difficult to refute that it is necessary to sell my soul >P

And Kaga, Lily's easy to refute. What you're attempting is not refutation but massively stylized offense. :P It does not require that one sell one's soul to refute somebody, for refutation is good-natured and self-exalting. :P

Believe me, I know this very well, as Lily's weakness is that she sacrifices reason for the sake of self-gratifying grandiloquence, therefore leaving here incredibly open for attack to anyone who can see through her veil of words. An old saying that I heard once is "If you can't wow them with substance, dazzle them with BS", and even though this applies to myself in some areas such as essaying, I know what it most important to winning a debate >D

I have often found refutation to be done in a malicious spirit, actually; some people derive pleasure from doing it in the most insulting way possible, unfortunately.

Her words can get very lacking in foundation, but I must say I'm not nearly as inventive as you in doing something about it.

And refutation may inflict pain and on apperance it may seem indifferent, but I believe the intelligence required for refutation alone makes it worthwhile, if not the most difficult task nevertheless.
