I get excited over something I recognize. Like, if someone mentions Pokémon, and I try to extend that conversation, but it turns out they're just making a reference.

Then I'll just sit there quietly...
 
the worst is when you say something, and get no reaction, so you say it again, and they ask you why you said the same thing twice. i do that a lot.
