Actually, according to my friend, "Today" is only said as "Kyou". and Konnichiha is "good afternoon" or a general "Hello".

Also...I just watched episodes 1-3 of TMoHS and I was completely thrown off with episode 1. I almost didn't watch all it until I realized they were filming something. XD But after watching 2 and 3 there is only one thing to say...Why do they hang out with her?! I just wanna slap Kyon-chan upside his head and give Mikuru-chan a big hug. She is so sweet and to be raked in there like that is just...horrible! *sobs*

Today is generally said as "Kyou". There is like one or two odd occasions where konnichi is used... but it's irregular or something like that. The kanji at any rate are the same thing but read differently.

I thought this was about school life rather than some random waitress." xD So I pretty much skipped it and came back to it later when it fit in with the storyline chronologically (I assume you'll be watching it out of order, Kyon-order?)
Oh, you'll have to watch the rest to know why. They have their reasons. ^.^

lol I wanted to get into TMoHS, but unfortunately I started with watching episode 0 where they were filming something.. it was awful... bored me to death..

Yeah you should. The first episode is with them already friends. Starting in episode 2 they show how they became friends and there is no filming stuff. So, yeah, I think you should give it a shot.

Episode 2 is the first episode chronologically. ^.^ The weird order made a good watch though.

For me it's because I like it and WANT to visit Japan.

Definitely. It's such a pain and makes me feel as if it just takes up room in my memory for other things. (Oh... the stuff in school isn't so bad for me now, since I'm pretty much beginning to decide on a career.)
Yup, once on a school exchange and once a holiday. It was a pretty awesome experience and I went to Tokyo, Kyoto and Nara.
