    Well, as suggest in the DCC, we need happier topics in Other Chat. And thanks to the all-knowing God Lightning, we have this glorious topic to discuss. So what do you prefer?

    Cake, with its fluffy texture, delicious frosting, and a million different possibilities for decorations on top.

    Or is it pie, with its flaky crust, moist filling, and the possibility of delicious whipped cream on top?

    Or perhaps you like another pastry. Discuss the possibilities and wonders of baked goods in this thread. Perhaps you hate pie with a passion and you want the world to know. Defend your point and make yourself hungry at the same time.

    I'm legally bound to liking pie by Scizz and Signomi, though I do like a slice of cake every once in a while. Blueberry and chocolate cream pie are my favorite flavors.
     
    Ohhh... Mygod. I love cake. Ice cream cake. Vanilla ice cream cake. Is that enough said? XD

    I didn't think anyone would actually make this.

    I personally have to go with cake.

    That said, I really have no preference regarding baked goods. I like cake and pie equally.
     
    I'd have to say that apple pie is a very epic dessert, but cake is good too. Ugh...I guess I'll go with pie, simply because apple pie is so amazing XD
     
    To be honest, until only a year ago or two, I didn't like pie. XD; I'd only ever had pumpkin pie and... some other kind, but I just didn't like it. :( Then my dad decided to make this amazing apple cinnamon pie and I've loved it ever since. I've branched out and I actually don't mind pumpkin pie anymore and I also love raspberry, blueberry and lots of other kinds.

    That's not to say I don't really like cake, though. There are a ton of kinds I don't like but on the whole I love the pastry. :> So long as it's not carrot cake or cheesecake, I'll eat it. I especially love ice cream cakes and have not gone a year since I was 6 without a Dairy Queen cake around my birthday. XD;

    All in all, I can't really choose. I like them both.

    Oh man that has to be my favourite kind of cake. It's just. So soft, so fluffy, so moist. ;~; I'm salivating just thinking about it.

    This is a very hunger-inducing topic...I could go for any of these desserts right about now X(
     
    I love cheesecake. I have had bad ones and weird ones. I don't like when there's no...cake to it. It's strange when it's just the filling. You need that extra texture to it - preferably graham cracker. I like a plain New York cheesecake or a cherry cheesecake

    I like pies more than cake. I always find cake to be too sweet for me. I'll eat it for birthdays and stuff, but it's not my favourite. Although I do like strawberry shortcake or sponge cake with fresh strawberries :B It's so awesome when we do that in the summer after picking some fresh strawberries at a farm ^__^

    For pies...I can eat just about every flavour XD

    And I like blueberry muffins. And my I love the trifle my mom makes at Christmas
     
    I don't give Ergonomic Keyboards on what the hell it is. If it has Pumpkin in it, it is mine. Me eats. Me Happy.

    I have a strange addiction to Pumpking Pie, cake, empanada, filling, etc... As predictable, nobody is happy for dessert in Thanksgiving. :D
     
    Ah Luke, I predict great praise for you in the land of the baked goods.

    Not really a die-hard fan of sweet treats, so I never really agree with having cakes or other confections unless I actually wanted a proper dessert. Otherwise I could never have the stomach to chug down any cakes or the sort. This is the sort of lacking stays with me very often, that said, I don't have cakes, fruit pies, or the such all that much. But whenever I do want something like that, I try to at least stay as far away from chocolate cake as possible, multiple times my parents gave me something like that for my birthday and I couldn't help but barf each time... XD;
     
    Anything cooked with trans fats, pretty much.
     
    I love almost all things baked. Angel food cake is the only thing that comes to mind that I dislike, though I do like it occasionally. XD

    Gah, this thread made me remember my craving for red velvet cake. Thanks. ;; XD
     
    I'm obsessed with apple pie. I can probably eat an entire pie..

    Cake is delightful, only chocolate-chocolate will do it for me, though.

    I make brownies with chocolate chips in them all the time. :3

    But nothing beats mom's christmas chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. *squee*
