Battle Stadium Daily Chit-Chat [Everyone go on the PO server please :D]

It's cause literally all the other battlers outside of the few left here went to Pokemopolis and are not returning.

One question: Shouldn't there be one main league that isn't fully restricted on using just mono-type, yet allows you to choose any theme you would like for your gym (or not even use a theme)? And as more people join in, we could just add additional gym leaders because I think we shouldn't follow in-game completely. This would keep the place more organized imo, and everyone would focus on tournaments and the like.
 
My suggestion: People need to get over their phobia of Shoddy. It's a reliable, easy, faster method of battling. It only lacks animations, and you'll get over that in less than a week. If you all honestly want more activity, get into shoddy more. There won't be hacking problems, there won't be disconnect problems (usually), ect. Faster instant communication during the battle makes it even more fun.

It's a the remedy for the inactivity. I swear to you all.
 
I think getting rid of leagues all together is a good idea, as long as they are restored when we have more people battling. I do not mean 15 more people, i mean about 50 or 60 people. Hg\ss will probably bring more people to battle, but then the majority of our battlers will suck. Without challengers, leagues are pointless, and have 80% talking and 20% battling. The opposite of the message in my signature.(feel free to copy and paste it into yours.) The message means that in this place, a lot of people talk, and Whoever wants the battle stadium to survive must get people to do more battling. Including people from the trade corner, and people that would be even remotely interested in battling.
 
Lmao, you've only been here for a half a year, so you must not know this. Battle Stadium has been pretty dead since the end of 07 - Early 08 lol. I mean, there was a little activity here and there, but nothing enough to consider it active. You aren't going to be our savior, lmao, and quite honestly, there's nothing left to save. This is pretty much just the "Other Section" that no one really uses, but is there in case someone wants to.

I would, but i tried shoddy, and it doesnt work on my computer. Damn windows 7.

There sort of already is a League like this: the Multi-Mix Special League.

Probably. I've been running Windows 7 since the day it came out and I have no problem using Shoddy.

But honestly. People need to start using Shoddy more if everyone wants activity. It's choice time: Stick with Wifi and play a single match every other week, or play shoddy and get ~3 games in a day or more.
 
At smogon, i get about that many battles using wifi.

I might be able to get on shoddy

I meant close all the leagues and make only one main league since all the other leagues are struggling to stay open.

...And what's wrong with that? Clans were only banned because the thread was used as a chat place and they never scheduled any battles.

I'm not saying everyone will not have a theme, they just won't be completely restricted to doing so.

It started dying right around the time diamond and pearl was a year old. When i joined up, there was always someone there for a battle.

Heart and Soul allowed at least 2 members of your gym/elite team to be different. I'm all for different stuff in leagues.

If there's some people that want to throw in the towel for this place then they're entitled to their opinions. I don't care what happened in the past with this place, we're talking about how to improve things now. At least we got the ball rolling with giving suggestions, etc. That's a good start anyways.


I'm seeing suggestions here of one or no league. I'd like to see maybe one unique league. That could work. I like four elites/masters/etc. There's some very good players here that can fill slots for gyms/elites. Maybe we can get prize donations for the league that might attract some attention. If it all possible maybe get battles on youtube to attract non-pc members here.

I seen the pc ladder has closed. Maybe it could be revamped a little bit to attract battlers again?

How about a thread where we can let others know about big youtube tournaments, etc? That way we could get more pc resprentation.

Aero, I'm going to have to one day here soon set down and try shoddy out. I've never tried it before.
