Battlefield: Bad Company 2

It wasn't the demo it was the actual game. He got an early copy.

Then rent it? Watching isn't nearly as fun as playing, at all.

All I'm hearing is PS3 and 360, not even 1 single mention of the PC version.

PC I am dissapoint.

Gawd, I loves my tommygun in this game, it got me to rank 5 in day.

I picked this game up today and I'm not quite sure what I think of it. I put probably 3 and half hours into it. The first 2 hours I enjoyed, but the last hour or so was filled with literally EVERYONE in the room, other than me, camping in the backs of the map with snipers. It really sucked because I was enjoying it up until that point. I definitely don't think it's the "Modern Warfare 2 killer" because I can say I enjoyed my first 3 hours of Modern Warfare 2 a lot more than I enjoyed my first 3 hours of Bad Company 2. Maybe I'll enjoy it more tomorrow.

I love playing this but since the server issues yesterday and today its been hard to play matches and its gotten annoying. I mainly use the Assault and Recon classes and im only 2 sniper rifles away from getting my next achievement. My favorite guns right now are currently the XM8 Prototype, F2000, STG 77 AUG, GOL Sniper Magnum, and the M416.

Well, I think I found my niche in games, my K/D is better than ModWar2, and I feel comfortable in it.

I think I'm not gonna care about my KDR in this game when I get it, unlike Modern Warfare 2 where it's pretty much all I care about.

When the demo ended however, I did have a 2.71 K/D, which to me seems pretty good.

I don't understand how you can possibly have that high of a K/D in this game. You've got to be sitting in the back of the map with a sniper because this game is far too hectic to not die a ton. I have a 1.9 K/D on MW2 and on this game mine is like 1.2 which is good considering most people don't even have a 1.0 after checking the leaderboards.

I haven't even looked at my KDR on the demo. I know it's not great, but that's because I simply don't care about it like I did in MW2. They don't give you access to your K/Ds as often, so...who knows.

I'm planning on ordering it off Amazon in the next week.

To me this just isn't the type of game to worry about K/D. I dunno, that's just how I see it. Like I said in my post before, everything is so hectic that I find it hard to maintain a really great K/D.

That's kind of how I feel. But when I play, I'll rush out and try to destroy a tank or make a hole in an important wall/building so my team has an entrance point the enemy isn't expecting or that's important for victory. And if I die, oh well. That's just how it goes. Especially if I set a bomb and defend it, but get killed right before the point is taken. I mean..at least I got the bomb and if I died, then that's fine. My K/D at the end of the matches is usually even if I ever do look at it.

But I just feel less inclined to care when I can't actively see it.

I have about 15 sniper kills. I get most kills charging crates with tanks and defending with MG ant AT emplacements.

God, this game gets funny at times.

I watch a teammate who's a medic get killed in front of me, I pick up his kit and revive him, little did he know I was carrying the M1 Garand trying to counter enemy snipers, he comes back to life and grabs my M1, soon he realizes he has a semi-auto rifle in his hands and starts cursing me out, he runs into a building trying to find another weapon, passing someone else in my squad, who begins asking where he got the gun from, and they start insulting each other over it, and I'm busy muting my mike to keep them from hearing me laughing my ass off.

Well in terms of K/D, the way I see it is:
.01-1.00 = decent player
1.01-2.00 = good player
2.01+ = professional player
Since you pretty much always die no matter what you do, its kind of impossible to have extremely low deaths on your profile unless you have been playing the game for a long time, and most of the people I know have a K/D of .75-1.10.

I would say it like that... for MW2. Battlefield is not the kind of game where you worry about KD, due to it being and objective and team based game. Squad points and objective points are more important than kill points.

EDIT: Also, for the MW2 players, I found this pretty hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cc6-bCM4l-s
