*beep*beep* Yes, I realize my Pokemon's health is low, stop reminding me!

It just annoys me to the point of having to turn off my DS' audio due to the annoying beeping. Yes, I know we need to be aware, but how about something more visual instead of raping our rears with this terrible beeping? In fact, I'll make an alternative myself.

Yes, I know it probably will be an eyesore to look at after a while, but at least allow us to turn off the beeping, or if you use that effect I just made, the effect?

So, what do you think of what I have there and the INFERNAL BEEPING! and which would you prefer?

It honestly doesn't bother me. It sounds almost exactly like Staryu and Starmie in the anime when they're injured.

Bwoh...
I nthink that on the RSE Games u can hear it louder than FRLG of DPPt...
I mean it is BeeP BeeP on RSE and on FRLG and DPPt it is like Beep Beep....
That big P means that it is louder in the end !

I think ur invention will be worse, since you can't put it off. Just turn the sound of and you won't hear the Beep Beep.

Umm...

Reading the first post, it's essential.

Also, I like the music in the game, I'd like to hear it so I can't turn off the audio now can I?

Ummm...you do know they made this mirraculous thing called a volume button?

I find the pokemon battle music to be obnoxious in general; I'll usually turn off the volume and pop my iPod earbuds in.

I agree.. I do actually mute the sound because of it. Well, I'd probably have it muted anyway.. I usually play my DS infront of the TV.. but when I'm in my room I'd have the sound on. In my room I wouldn't mute it because of the beeping though.

The beeping also cut out the lower melody in the music back in RBY and GSC.
I'm not suprised. It seems that pretty much every sound during battles ran on some kind of midi channel. The cries interrupt the treble.

Oh gosh, I absolutely hate that sound.

I like most music in the Pokémon game series, so I can't turn off the music.
I smell a dilemma...

Hana, signing out~

Aside from a few music pieces (Archie/Maxie battle, Cyrus battle, Cynthia battle) the battle music isn't that memorable, so I usually have the volume down and 80's music playing from my computer.

But yes, that "alarm" noise is annoying beyond belief. I guess it is motivation enough to keep their HP up, anyway...

Yeah, god, if i'm EV training, i tend to just battle til it drops dead.So i battle against pokes that have type-advantages deliberately just to avoid that annoying noise, coz they tend to OHKO

I usually dont pay attention to it, or the volume is off so it doesnt exactly bother me too much although there are times I just want to completely destroy my game cartridge because of the "beep" noises during capturing pokemon, battling the E4... etc.

I play without sound. Most of the sounds annoy me. And that animation would annoy me more. Keep it to sound and mute.

This is annoying while trying to catch a pokemon as the beep beep beep.
Oh screw that turn audio down. In the second gen I actually liked it, whenever fighting a leader or a boss of some sort and red HP comes.. Battle sounds more intense.

It's not just Pokemon that does this--Zelda and to a degree, Mario do this as well...and for some reason Zelda's beeping gets on my nerves more than Pokemon's
