i don't have too many favorite bands, as much as I have favorite genres, so here we go:

-Ska (all 'waves' not just the 90s ska punk)
-Reggae (not the poppy kind, the real, raw, funky stuff (aggrolites))
-Punk (Clash, Vandals, Ramones, Adicts, Misfits, Bouncing Souls, Rancid)
-Rockabilly/Old Country/Early Rock and Roll
-Pre Hard Rock Rock
-60's/70's music
-Psychobilly
-Surf Guitar
-Surf Rock Bands (beach boys/jan and dean)
-really happy(/mellow) stuff like Belle and Sebastian, Sufjan Stevens, Salteens
-girl groups like the supremes
-New Wave/Weird 80's music (oingo boingo, b-52s, devo)
-jazz is something i'd like to listen to more of.

Queen

Among others. I love them all, and they're widely considered among the most talented.

If we were going by favorites, though, I'd still stick with Chiodos. I love them SO much.

I'm pretty sure the beatles are like the most loved band on the planet, but still not my favorite lets see.....these are just my top 5....sublime,weezer(when they used to be cool and then Beverly hills happened..)the beatles,the pixies,and last but certainly not least the arctic monkeys
 
I'd have to say either MCR or Dragonforce
 
My favorite bands will never be called the "best", but oh well, few agree with my choices, so whatever.
