This doesn't necessarily mean the most aesthetically pleasing Pokemon to look at; just which Pokemon do you feel has been designed so that it looks as good as it would ever look? For example, although it's not my favourite in terms of design, I really like the look of Garbodor and respect the amount of work that went into making it look exactly like it does.

For me, it would have to be Cofagrigus. I don't care for the Pokemon itself, but admire the attention to detail in the coffin design, as well as serious-yet-cartoonish eye movements and floaty hand gestures it makes in battle.

So, what does everyone else think?

Joltik, if only for the animation. When I first fought one, I was hooked, even though I use a Zebstrika (which also has a great design). I love the way it jumps so fast as if it's actually full of electricity.

I have always liked Lugias design, and also Entei.
But I am starting to think that pokemons nowdays are getting so ridiculous designs and types. I mean, a pokemon that is some type of a coffin? The first 3 gen looked so good, and more like creatures that could actually live in the world.. but that is just my opinion.

    Snorlax? lol jk

I honestly think Slowbro or Slowking have the most

original designs. Not to say that they are the nicest to look at

but I definitely think most original lol.

Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Just look at the detailed, intricate, and nicely-crafted lines on their designs. ESPECIALLY Dialga and Giratina. Despite Palkia's "innuendo", I can't imagine another shape that would fit Palkia's overall design. Surprisingly, the artists decided to follow up Giratina's look with Origin Forme, though I think that Origin Forme is a bit forced and Altered Forme looks so much better. Personally, I would have enjoyed Giratina Altered Forme on Platinum's box art more. A insectoid draconic bat seems to have more appeal than a snakelike draconic octopus.

    Spoiler:

Also, Charizard. Anything extra, IMO, would have ruined the design. The sleek orange skin, draconic look, courageous blue eyes, and iconic flaming tail seal the deal.

In addition, Reshiram and Zekrom. If Zekrom were any other color, I probably would have problems with the design. But black coloration is just cool/BA, so is design is WIN. Also, it seems like Zekrom was MEANT to be uniquely humanshape, as opposed to the somewhat humanoid (and partially hunched-over) Groudon and Palkia. With Reshiram, I love the airy look, but the head and wings look slightly awkward at times. However, the design in its own away is complete, and anything extra would tarnish it or appear to be a forced effort. It appears awkward in a sense, yet it assists in maintaining Reshiram's regal, composed, and powerful presence.

    Cofagrigus.
    It's a sarcophagus that's alive, there's no mummy inside.
    It's actually alive.
And that's what makes it awesome.

I also like Haxorus and Hydreigon's designs.

I've always liked Latias & Latios's designs. They're some of the few Hoenn designs I can say I really like.

I like Ralts for some reason, they paid attention to detail and i like that you can't really see its eyes! Lol

I'm going to go with Zekrom. It just seems really detailed. I love how it's tail looks like those things on planes. xD

    pikachu from season 1
the legendary dog trio & the original eeveelutions are very cool & original looking. I just love their desgins! So regal/flashy & rare looking

Gallade is the best designed Pokemon because of its blade arms and the fact it's Gardevoir's male counterpart.

There are quite a lot of well designed Pokemon. Gallade, Grovyle, Gardevoir, Rayquaza and many others many managed to catch my eye because of their appealing designs. Yes, I'm biased towards Gen 3.
