[Other] Best Rom For Sideshow Hack

    What is better ROM for a sideshow ROM Hack. I would like to make a simple ROM hack like this one https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/347145 where I just replace the original Pokemon with Only Alola Dex Mons. What would be a better rom base (EM or FR) to do this?

    If simply replacing Pokémon would be your main goal, I'd recommend using the Pokéemerald decomp. It would make the editing process a lot easier. Instead of messing around with various different tools to edit stats/movepools and insert sprites, it would just be a matter of replacing the .png files in the relevant graphics folder and working on the relevant files in a text editor like Notepad++. It can be a little tricky to set up but I can promise it'd be worth it and save time in the long run!

    If you don't want to do that, though, honestly either FR or EM is fine. Just go with your personal preference =)
