(I hope you don't mind that this battle will last for four posts.)
Both Diane and Sean were facing each other, both looking serious and rather enfuriated with each other, a shiny Pokemon was at stake for them and the winner of the battle would truly prove who was worthy of it. Sean knew that if Diane won, she'd never shut up about it, and just keep going on about it every time he saw her, and she would rub it in too much, that's one reason why Sean needed the Eevee. Another, is that if he wanted to be the best of the best, the shiny Eevee would surely work with him to make him catch his dreams. Finally, Diane called out her first Pokemon. "Ready to meet your match? I'll show you right now! Come on out, Meowth!" so Diane got her PokeBall from her pocket, and raised it to the air before tossing it. For a normal type, Meowth would be a good challenge against Sean so he better had watch out. The PokeBall opened, releasing Meowth, ho sat and sratched its ears with its cream coloured paws. Now it was Sean's turn to send out his Pokemon, and he had a great idea what to choose, the Pokemon he never used before. "Show her what you're made of, Horsea!" Sean was excited to finally battle with his beautiful looking Horsea for the first time ever. He got his PokeBall out from his jean pocket, and sent it against the ground. Out came Horsea, who was floating above the ground which looked kinda weird. Sean still thought Horsea was going to be great for him, so he was confident that Meowth would be no problem for him, so Diane got herself ready to strike the first move.
Diane had a grim look on, which shown that the first move would be crafty and something that Sean might have trouble dealing with. She then smiled like she normally does when she has something sly up her sleeve, and she then spoke her first command to Meowth. "Perfect, start off with Fake Out!" of course, Fake Out was infact the most perfect move to use as it only works on the first turn, and it can cause Horsea to lose its first shot. However, Sean did not know that, so he just watched what was about to happen and wondered what Fake Out sould possibly do. Meowth was on both feet, and was just about ready to pounce over to Horsea. Suddenly, it leapt right over onto the air, and swiftly soared over to Horsea without any speech whatsoever. Just that moment, Meowths sharp claws on its paws were bared and ready to hit Horsea hard. Horsea was shocked and did not know that was coming, neither did Sean. Meowth then got close enough to swipe its paw right across Horsea in an instant. Horsea was struck hard, but it was still up and was miles away from being unable to battle, infact, it was only just about to really get started. Now it was Sean's turn, and he had to remember one of the moves Horsea used in that battle with it in the wild, so he remembered the one attack move it has. "Oh, Diane... you're so far from winning and you've got a long way to go so geat ready. Horsea, use your Bubble attack!" he ordered, and Horsea had responded very fast. Sean was excited to see what Horsea was made of against Diane, and show her that his Pokemon were much better than hers after all. Horsea aimed its mouth, which was like a tube, over to Meowth who was sitting there looking like a regular cat, not knowing at all that it was about to get shot by a bunch of bubbles. Just then, Horsea started to release some clear bubbles, which looked really pretty, but they were actually quite dangerous. Diane did not see them as any harm at all, and just laughed at it, "Oh my! This is so easy!" Diane was really wrong to misjudge, and really had no clue at all what the power of these bubbles were. As the bubbles got closer, Meowth somehow got attracted to the bubbles and didn't try to didge at all, instead, it just sat there watching. The bubbles then hit Meowth against the face, as it yelped in shock. Diane gasped, she really did misjudge Horsea. Sean cheered, and was rather happy that Horsea was capable of annoying Diane's Pokemon and her.
Meowth and Horsea were both hit once, and both were ready for more action. They both had eye contact, and were no longer not paying attention, they were in there. Sean was going to take the first hit this time, before Diane had yet another plan. This time, the plan was his as he knew one move that would seriously take Meowth down, as it was a move that would surely distract and annoy. "Horsea, use your Smokescreen!" Diane gave no response to that, and just carried on folding her arms and tapping her legs. Meowth was still wagging its tail, still thinking of what to do and waiting for a response from Horsea. Luckily for Sean, Smokescreen had great accuracy, and if it hit, then Meowth would have a very little chance of hitting. Horsea yeat again aimed its mouth in the direction of Meowth, who was sitting on its hind legs. Horsea then shot out a blob of ink, which was gettign closer to the ground rather than Meowth, but even if it didn't hit, Meowth would be totally inaccurate. So just then, the blob of ink had burst into a complete bunch of fog clouds. Nobody could see, and everybody kept coughing, but this was a good thing as neither could Meowth. Diane was getting to a point where she took back what she was saying, and misjudged Horsea just because it was small, but it didn't mean she wasn't determined. "Ugh! Meowth, use Scratch! I don't care if you can't see it just do it!" she wasn't nice as Sean knew, but she always wanted her own way as if it was all her. Sean was not worried at all, and could feel that Horsea had already won this one, as Meowth was getting getting ready to bare its sharp claws, as it was trying to detect Horsea. Meowth dived into a direction that looked a lot like Horsea was nearby, but infact, Meowth happened to have took a wrong direction, and its claws got nailed right into a rocky outcrop which really pained Meowth.
Of course, it was very painful and weakened Meowth a whole lot, so Diane had tried to find it. The fog had then cleared, and Meowth had its claw stuck right into a brown rock. Diane was getting overdramatic, and started to fear that now that Meowth was weak enough, Sean would win. "Oh no! My cute little Meowth!" like any little girl would, she got angry and could could not take anymore, but it was too late for her to switch out and lose, so Sean got ready to command Horsea for one more time. "Good call. Now then, Horsea, let's finish our first one. Use Bubble!" Sean was pleased, as he knew that his victory against Diane was in the bag and that there was no problem at all standing in the way. Once Horsea amed its tubular mouth at Meowth, Meowth's claws had then been removed from the rock and Diane was happy, but then she turned around to notice that Horsea was shooting out some bubbles. Diane ran out of the way quickly, so that she wouldn't get hurt, but that didn't stop Meowth from getting hit, so that had just happened. The bubbles had made small bursts onto Meowth, which had hurt Meowth who couldn't take any more and just fainted. Sean was ecstatic, because if he got one Pokemon down, then the others would be no problem at all. Diane just gave him a dirty look, and was starting to choose which Pokemon to use next.
Since Sean was using Horsea, a Water type Pokemon, Diane didn't take so long to choose her second choice. Sean and Horsea were still ready to see what was coming at them next, but he knew that knowing Diane, her Pokemon that was to be used next would surely be part of some plan for her to win. She made up her mind, and got the PokeBall from her pocket. "Do your stuff, Oddish!" Sean was in danger now, as Horsea only had opne attack and it was a weak water attack. Diane tossed her PokeBall to the ground, releasing the small blue plant with big green leaves. Sean didn't like what she was up to, so he was only going to use Horsea's other moves to his own advantage. Obviously, Diane took her first shot as Sean wanted to take his time. "Let's do this, Oddish! Use your Absorb!" this was a Grass type move, so Horsea was obviously in danger now, but he would make the most of Horsea's other great moves that would put weakness on Oddish. Oddish started to concentrace on Horsea, then started to shoot roots from its legs. Sean thought that now was the time to use a move, so he did so. "Okay, use your Leer, Horsea!" it wouldn't do any damage, but it would threaten Oddish slightly and make it less defensive. The roots from Oddish got closer and closer, as Oddish had its eyes shut, focusing hard on Horsea. Finally, Horsea started to glow its eyes gold, and narrowed them threateningly at Oddish. As it wasn't looking, Oddish carried on travelling its roots closer to Horsea, until it then reached Horsea's tail and the roots wrapped all around it. Horsea carried on with its Leer, and looked more evil towards Oddish, who then opened its eyes to notice it. As more energy travelled from Horsea to Oddish, Horsea started to sweat, and lost more energy each time. Horsea kept on getting weaker, but the evil look was still up, and Oddish was getting affected as it started to get frightened, and then stopped with the roots.
Oddish was still standing tall and confident, ready to pack another punch, even after the Leer that weakened it. On the other hand, Horsea was nearly completely knocked out, so Sean had to think fast on what he was going to use before he had to choose his next Pokemon. He thought this time that Diane should take the first move, as it would lead to his own advantage. They were both staring at each other. Diane was looking sly and cunning like normal, but Sean seemed to have a similar smile that was unfigurable, but it was all because he had a trick up his sleeve before Horsea would faint. Diane finally started up her command to Oddish, and just like Sean would have guessed, it was an attacking one. "Now let's finish this one off! Use Acid, Oddish!" it wasn't a Grass type move, but it was still perfectly capable of knocking out Horsea in its totally weak state. Oddish had opened its mouth, as Horsea was not paying much attention to what was going on, but Sean was just standing there watching closely for Oddish to let go of the Acid so he could give his command to Horsea. Oddish's small ball of Acid got bigger and bigger, and held it a little before it was going to let go. Diane gave a shout to signal to release it. "Now!" it was loud, and sounded like a child would shout if they didn't get what se wanted, but she was a child and that was what she wanted. Oddish finally spat out its purple ball of goo, which looked really nasty as it was hurled over in the direction of Horsea. Sean then countered with his command, which would not defend Horsea unfortunately, but instead it would give his next Pokemon a huge advantage. "Horsea, Try and get a Smokescreen!" of course, that if Sean used Smokescreen and got it in Oddish's eyes, then Oddish would be very inaccurate, making Sean's next Pokemon a huge step ahead. Horsea pointed its tubular mouth at Oddish, as the ball of Acid was still travelling across the air. The ball got closer to Horsea, so Sean was starting to worry if the Smokescreen would get fired before it would get hit. Horsea then shot out the black blob of ink at Oddish, hoping that it would reach over to its eyes. That second, Horsea got shot by the ball of Acid right across the face, then fell to the ground in defeat. Before Diane got the chance to brag, Oddish got hit in its blue eyes by the black blob of ink too, and it then shrouded across its eyeballs. Oddish staggered around in a circle, hopelessly, but Diane still smiled with her eyes closed. "Don't worry Horsea, you did great out there, you should rest now." Sean retreated Horsea, and then got back into position choosing his next Pokemon...
