Battle was about to unfold, and even though it was late and Sean had had a rough day, this had gave Sean even more kicks to win. As for Tyron, his day was too long, looking as if he couldn't be bothered and he just wanted to get this overwith, as did Sean. Tyron was not in such a good mood, infact, he was pretty tired after a day like this where all he has done was battle, battle, battle. That did not compare to how Sean's day went, all he did was battle, battle, battle after all too. Since the battle was just about to begin, both Sean and Tyron had to send out their Pokemon they were going to use for the battle. Sean had decided which one he was saving until last, but he had to choose what he was going to use for now. Then he had chosen which Pokemon he was going to use. "Let's do it, Horsea!" he got the PokeBall for Horsea out of his pocket, and had thrown it into the empty battlefield. Horsea burst out of the ball, floating around in the air on its wings, happy as regularly. This was leaving Tyron to send out his Pokemon, which was obviously going to be a tough one for Horsea who has not had much battling experience yet. "Come on, Mr. Mime!" Tyron also got a PokeBall from his pocket, and then threw it out into battle. Out came Mr. Mime, a pink sort of human figure, with white gloves. Sean did not know what to expect of a Pokemon like that, but as a Psychic type it was obviously going to be a challenge. As for Tyron, a small Pokemon like Horsea was simple and easy for him.
So, the battle was just about to get rolling with Horsea and Mr. Mime at seperate sides of the battlefield, standing tall and ready. Tyron was confident that he would end his day of challenges with a victory. But for Sean, it was another battle that would not only end a day, but probably the most important day he's had yet. Horsea was one of Sean's lower levelled Pokemon that he was hoping on training up well, as it had not been used much yet. Tyron saw it as quite an easy battle, as a strong Psychic type like Mr. Mime could eat the small, Water type Horsea. Although just like any other battle, this did not in any way disrupt Sean of his confidence in Horsea, even if it has not had much experience in battling yet. There was a couple of decent moves that Horsea had on its hands, mainly 2 Water typed moves that Sean could use. One was stronger than the other, so Sean wasn't going to use that yet. There was also two other moves, that could mentally weaken Mr. Mime but he would leave that a moment. Sean's mind was made up, and the attack used was decided. "Let's kick this off! Use Bubble, Horsea!" this was Horsea's currently main move, and Sean wanted to get to the point of the battle, which was to deal some damage. Horsea, as many of Sean's other Pokemon, were reactive and Horsea had immediately got the message. Whilst Horsea was levitating on its small wings, small bubbles, which were turning bigger as they foated, were floating out of Horsea's mouth. As more bubbles came out, Mr. Mime started to get hit by each bubble which hit quite harder than they looked as if they would. Just then, Horsea had stopped shooting bubbles, as bubbles stopped hitting Mr. Mime. The attack was pretty tough, but not there at all yet. There was more to be done in this battle, and both Sean and Tyron just had to see.
Since Horsea's Bubble attack had done some damage, Tyron was also following. "It's going to need a bit more than that, Sean. One Bubble attack won't make a difference." Tyron convinced Sean to try harder, and use a better attack. This was going to be done, as Sean nodded in return, while having his eyebrows slightly lowered. Admittidaly, Sean did know that Horsea wasn't the strongest of Pokemon, but it couldn't have done so bad after all it did try and he was going to try and get better throughout the battle. Mr. Mime was still standing well and high, as its hands were shaking just a little bit since Mr. Mime was quite overreactive to attacks. Whereas, Tyron saw Mr. Mime as a truly strong Pokemon that got the job done well. There were also a few good moves that Tyron could choose Mr. Mime to use; some Psychic typed, some not. There was one that he was going to use that was not a Psychic type but it would do a good amount of damage to Horsea. "Mr. Mime, use Doubleslap." he didn't shout it, but he said it loudly so that Mr. Mime could hear and understand the command well. Indeed, just like Horsea, Mr. Mime satrted to obey and ran over, across the tiles of the battlefield, towards Horsea. This was clearly not a Psychic typed move, but it was going to be quite a suprise for Horsea. Once Mr. Mime was close enough, it slapped one white glove across Horsea's small body, which did hurt slightly. Then, as the attack was named Doubleslap, Mr. Mime slapped its other white rubber gloved hand across Horsea. This was quite a hard attack that did something to Horsea, but nothing so serious as of yet. The battle had only just started, and it was already clear that the battle was going to get rougher.
The Doubleslap attack by Mr. Mime had put Tyron in the lead so far, as Mr. Mime's level, stats and ability are all outclassing on Sean's Horsea, though the battle was not done yet and has yet to be done. Having said that, Horsea does have lots of capabilities once it has a good trainer and is raised well, in which Horsea and all of Sean's other Pokemon were. This was just the beginning of the battle, and Horsea can still prove itself a great Pokemon by taking out Mr. Mime. Sean knew that big things do come from small packages, the point being proved by how many battles he has done and been victorious. As said before, Horsea has some moves that can really make the battle much easier, and the one that Sean had on his mind was going to be used some time, and the time was probably just right enough. "Let's try Smokescreen!" just like Sand Attack which Horsea has, Smokescreen would make the opponent less accurate, which always helps in battle because then Horsea would have less chance of getting attacked. The only slightly damaged Horsea had levitated higher now, as it was trying to make itself strong to battle. As Horsea was flapping its small wings fast, Horsea was building up a blob of black ink inside its mouth, that was then aimed at Mr. Mime. Just then, once the blob of ink was big enough, Horsea shot out the ball like a bullet. Then as the ball got closer to Mr. Mime, the slower movements Mr. Mime's arms made. Finally, the ball of ink had burst right on Mr. Mime's body. Luckily for Tyron, it did not hit the eyes which was the worst possible target, but as the ball of ink burst, clouds of deep, black fog were spreading all across Mr. Mime, even getting in the eyes. This then caused Mr. Mime to be less accurate in moves, and Mr. Mime had trouble seing anything, even Tyron. As the smoke cleared, Sean wanted to use this as an oppurtunity to make an attack, yet it was the same as before. "Use Bubble!" Sean thought fast, just incase the effects of the smoke would ware off. Horsea quicky shot out more of those bubbles from its mouth, just like before. The bubbles were bigger this time, as Horsea was more concentrated on Mr. Mime right now. Bubbles then ended up flying towards Mr. Mime who started to make "Mime, M-Mime-" noises in helplessness. As these noises were made, Mr. Mime's mouth was opened wide, the worst thing that Mr. Mime could do when bubbles were coming closer without a suspection. The bubbles then got close to Mr. Mime's face, but Mr. Mime couldn't see them since Mr. Mime was barely sighted and these bubbles were crystal clear. So, since Mr. Mime could do nothing and made more noises, Bubbles ended up making contact around the neck, body, lips, and worst of all, the mouth. Mr Mime choked in shock as the liquid from the bubbles trickled down its throat. This weakened Mr. Mime quite a bit now, as the Bubble attack did do well and Horsea pulled it off.
Due to the past attacks done by Horsea, the advantage was Sean's, and it was well deserved after the Smokescreen which has put Mr. Mime in a bad state, which could possibly cost the battle for Tyron. With Mr. Mime's accuracy delayed by the Smokescreen, Tyron would have to do something, or use an accurate move, whichever as long as the attack would hit. "Impressive. But I've made my way through these things before, Sean. I gotta admit though, one battle this is turning out to be. I'm glad this Gym was kept open." Tyron was complimenting Sean, yet making him realize that his next move was likely to do some good and would restore his victory position. Mr. Mime only had 4 moves, 2 only which could attack, and none of them had perfect accuracy. So, after Doubleslap, Tyron decided it was time for the stronger attack to be used. "Now then, let's get this out of the way, shall we? Mr. Mime, use Confusion." this was tougher than Doubleslap in different ways. For one, it was a Psychic type move. Second, it could confuse, hence the name. This means that one perfect shot that would confuse would mean that Horsea would be messed up and the Smokescreen would be nothing compared to the state of confusion. There was nothing left to be done, Mr. Mime started to focus its mind hard on Horsea, if it got the chance due to panic and accuracy delay. This was not likely to work, because if Mr. Mime could not work out where Horsea was, then Mr. Mime wouldn't be able to hit Horsea at all. Mr. Mime was concentrating hard wnough, and eventually let go of a wave of psychic energy. This wave Horsea could easily levitate over, and it was travelling slowly, so Sean clicked his fingers. Horsea levitated as the thin wave of energy passed, avoiding Horsea completely then fading into the air.
The Confusion attack did not work well at all for Tyron, and this has automatically proived that Sean has a chance to win against Mr. Mime now, but not at this very second. It would still need a little bit more for Mr. Mime to get knocked out, yet same for Horsea as the Doubleslap used by Mr. Mime was just as effective, yet more powerful. Sean was seeing the better side as normal, where he was close to winning and it would just take a little longer until such happens. As for Tyron, he wasn't going to care so much if he lost, he was just tired and lots most of his energy while battling against other trainers, which most had beaten him for the day. Horsea was still able to make some good attacks as it was for now, but he had to watch out for anything by Mr. Mime. In this case, Sean wanted to go further now so that he could win soon enough, so he was going to use Horsea's better move. "Let's try Water Gun!" Sean did realize that it wasn't used yet, so whatever it did would be new to him. The energized Horsea was levitating very fast now as it was excited to use this new move. Just that second, Horsea immediately shot a small blast of water out of its mouth. The water wave was highly fast travelling and got further and faster by the second. The fast blow of water then hit Mr. Mime over the face, which was the best target as usual. This slap of water had washed Mr. Mime's face completely, as the water pressure had caused painful damage to the cheeks, which turned red in pain.
This was close now, Mr. Mime was on the brink of fainting now and Tyron had to get the battle going on, and try and fight back and well, though it definetely would be hard in the inaccurate condition, due to Horsea's Smokescreen. Even a tough Psychic type Pokemon could not fight inaccuracy, and there was nothing to do about it, so it was definetely going to be hard, but he had to try if he wanted to win. Mr. Mime's head was shaking, as the Water Gun had hurt quite badly across the face, mainly the two cheeks. Its eyes were also twirling, since it could not get a good view of what was going on, but it could hear well, fortunately. Tyron was know getting the point that Horsea was quite a worthy opponent when trained correctly, and he completely respected that. On the other hand, it was a battle and when the Gym Leader is devoted as he was, winning was the thing to do. Therefore, Tyron was going to use Mr. Mime's most powerful move that he used before but was sure it would work. "Mr. Mime, concentrate on Horsea. Try." just before giving the command, Tyron wanted this to work well. "Use Confusion!" he gave the command out, hoping that this time Mr. Mime would perform the move well. Mr. Mime did have its head facing Horsea now, and could see the small blue floating thing, so Mr. Mime tried to focus very hard. Sean was sure this would miss, and didn't try doing anything since it would not make one difference. Then, Mr. Mime was concentrated hard enough; it opened its eyes and let off a wave of weak psychic power. This was a fast wave this time, as the concentration had forced the power harder. Horsea could not escape this time, but Sean couldn't see that, only Mr. Mime could, as did Tyron. The wave of energy then struck Horsea right across the body and mind. This felt like an electric shock, but it was different. The damage was quite hard on the mind, and did a lot of hurt, yet it was not the ending yet. The lucky side was that it did not confuze, so Sean still got the chance to win the first part of the battle.
Now it was down to either Pokemon to finish the first half of the battle, either Sean or Tyron could do it now so they had to think fast. Would Sean want to waste all Horsea's power on Mr. Mime? Even though Horsea would probably be knocked out as soon as Tyron's other Pokemon came out, he was going to have to try and make the most of Horsea's uses. Tyron did not always enjoy winning, as he was just tired of the day now and wanted to go, but he obviously was going to give it a shot. The other side of this was that if Tyron did win, Mr. Mime wouldn't do so well on Sean's next Pokemon wither, in the state that it was in. It was down to the first person to use a move, and Sean just opened his mouth to command it. There was one move that he could use that would have a good effect, the one that was Horsea's most powerful, the one that was just used. "Horsea, finish Mr. Mime off with another Water Gun!" after that last one that did cold pain on Mr. Mime, it was surely going to knock Mr. Mime out after one more use. Horsea was floating slower now, but it was still full of energy that didn't stop Horsea from attacking. Horsea's small eyebrows lowered as a sign that it was not giving up, and then started to get some water in its tubular mouth. Then, just as soon as there was a good lot of water inside, Horsea nailed Mr. Mime with the large squirt of water that came out of Horsea's mouth. The shock of the Water Gun had caused Mr. Mime to take no more and fall to the ground in pain, knocking Mr. Mime out. Sean smiled at Horsea, as Horsea smiled back with its eyes closed and eyebrows raised. Tyron didn't care so much, as he took the PokeBall out and withdrew Mr. Mime, ready to send out the next of his challening Pokemon.
