    I just thought of this right now while looking at another thread on another forum.
    As you know every season Ash's Pikachu somehow manages to blow up the Female protagonists Bike.

    I'd personally love to see this happen to Iris - Let's just not break the flow of Bikes being blown up. How? Well I'll just wait and see!

    We know that Pikachu blew up Misty's to save Ash from the Spearows
    May when Pikachu had that Electrical Overload
    and Dawn after trying to protect itself from being captured by Dawn and Team Rocket

    So what do you think?

    Do you think Pikachu will blow up our New female Protagonist Iris's Bike?

    And how do think Pikachu will do it this time?
     
    Oh my! I never joined all these "incidences". xD
    So that means that another bike is going to get blown. That would be fun to watch. I hope they haven't run out of ideas though. lol

    Let me think.... maybe this time Pikachu will blow up Iris along with her bike while she..... umm... picks up an argument with Ash? (damn, I have no imaginative power)

    They say she is a wild girl. How could she get a bike?
     
    Haha, I don't even think she'll have a bike. From the looks of it, she swings from tree to tree to travel so it would be a little awkward to have a bike with her XD Dawn just seemed to travel with Ash for no reason (although Pikachu still electrocuted her bike), so I hope they're a little more creative with the reason why Iris travels with Ash.

    I could see the reason for her joining Ash being that Pikachu's stolen (which always seems to happen at the start of the series), so she uses her tree-climbing skills to help Ash search for him and so they become friends. I hope it's something more creative than that D:
     
    I don't think that'll really happen seeing as Iris is obviously a wild girl - she wouldn't have a bike.

    Actually, Hikari didn't use the bike as an excuse to start with, anyway. Her reason was that since Satoshi and Takeshi were going to Oreburgh through Jubilife, she thought she could tag along, and then VOILA they went around Sinnoh together.
    She only mentioned the bike when they got to the bike route.
     
    How about this:

    • She arrives at the city, is tired from swinging, and is offered a bike to go around town.
    • She buys the bike
    • She hangs around happily until she meets up with Ash and Pikachu.
    • Cue Team Rocket
    • Cue Blast off
    • Cue a Nueva-bike a la Barbie.
    • And... that's about it.

    I'd be more detailed, but I have no idea why the hell Iris would travel with Ash. I really don't want to say the original intention would be the bike debt.... but, we'll see.

    This is a famous tradition for the series, son.

    Maybe Iris runs away from home in the beginning with a bike and meets the Pikachu. She eventually thinks bikes are too wimpy (sophisticated) for her and asks Pika to toast it for her? I don't really know about this time.
     
    Has it ever occurred to you guys that Iris might not even meet Pikachu or Ash? That Ash and Pikachu might not even be in Best Wishes? You have to admit, his not appearing in ANY of the promotional materials does seem as though Ash might not even be in BW. Of course, that's not to say that we should rule out the possibility completely, since the writers might surprise us, but you have to admit that it is strange that outside of concept art, Ash does not even appear in ANY of the Promotional Material (Trailers, Posters, any of that.). Don't you think they'd at least give him even a one minute appearance in a trailer if they wanted to ensure that Ash would be in Best Wishes?
     
    No, its never even come to some minds that Ash and Pikachu wouldn't be in it. Know why? Previously they had a leaked sketch with Ash in Black's clothes with Team Rocket, me thinks he will be in it. They are just trying to show off the new characters first like what happened with Dawn. At the begining of D/P they didn't show Ash till the last two offical posters, I see the same thing happing here. For some reason they feel they need to show the new characters first, you'd think they'd want to keep those a suprise not Ash LOL. Any who, from the previews we've seen I don't think Iris will have a bike, I'd LOL if she did and it got hit by Pikachu. I'm hopping Iris comes with Ash for a different reason.

    Yes, except by this point when DP was still in development, we already knew that Ash was in it due to a poster/preview (They revealed that Ash was in it some time during the Grand Festival), and in fact, the only thing we were speculating was whether Paul (then known as Nugai) was going to replace Brock or not. We are about three episodes left before BW is going to air, and we still have yet to see even a second of Ash on the previews/promotional materials. If they truly wanted to ensure that everyone knew that Ash was going to be in it, they would have showcased him in the previews by now. I'm not ruling out the possibility completely, but the fact is that the chances are becoming less by the week.

    Plus, isn't something like Concept Art even less reliable than trailers or Posters? I remember how there were various concept art for Pokemon in the games that didn't even make it into the games.

    I reckon Ash'll be in it. Why won't he?

    I mean, Ash has all these powers where he's "the chosen one","aura guardian", "the only one who can control Arceus and Giratina" etc.etc. they can't honestly make somebody else who can match up to him. It just makes it even more...unrealistic...by pokemon standards of course :D

    Maybe Iris trips over a bike as Pikachu zaps it. I mean, bikes + Pikachu don't tend to mix without the bike dying...
     
    I've been thinking they might want to make it a "surprise" he's coming back. Don't know why they would want to do that, but we shall see in a few weeks :P

    Though if he was, She dosen't seem the type to have a bike anyway

    I didn't ever know that Pikachu blew bikes up! XD
    But I don't think he will this time,I think they might try something new.

    Eh??? Those stuff didn't come till later, the first thing that came was that poster of Dawn on it and people all thought she was going to replace Ash. Ask for the games, they are different than the anime. The sketch seemed true cuz Iris was revealed on the sheet before that Pokemon sunday preview and she turned out true, so I assume the rest of it is as well.

    To tsatoma, all we've seen was the previews and a few first posters. Normally Ash doesn't appear till the last few seconds before the show premieres. I can't wait till Thursday, so we can get this mess figured out, I'm betting Ash will be the character they are going to reveal.
     
    Eh? So its Shooti? I thought they said they were introducing some one new this Thursday.
