I'm listening to some peak tunes from 2009/2010 and it's bringing me way back. Makes me dig down to the furthest reaches of my VM history to re-affirm how much of a geek I was. Bittersweet to say the least.

So, how do you react to nostalgia?

Nostalgia is the hardest drug I've done. Music can hit fast and hard but usually fades again quickly. Video games are a really intense version of it and can plunge me into weeks of obsession before I crawl up from that hole again. Visiting certain places or eating certain food can also trigger the sensations but video games is the best way to take this drug really. Uh I mean the most dangerous.

Video games, Movies and Music are all nostalgia hits. For me, I find VGM to be the most nostalgic. Here are a couple selections that hit close to home:

    South Korea's National Anthem

    EA.. what have you done...

Nostalgia is both a blessing and a curse for me. It depends on what I'm thinking about or doing that brings it. If it's happy, then I'll usually enjoy it... if it's sad, I'll usually try to avoid it. I actually really enjoy things from the 90s a lot lately, especially cartoons most of all. I grew up during that time (despite being born in 88).
